Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem hope this helps

How to fix auto shotdown msi core i5 cx420

Two important things that you should do to fix a infected laptop which keeps shutting down are:
1- Scanning computer to eliminate malwares, spywares and the viruses from your laptop.
2- Repairing and cleaning Windows registry.
The registry errors, however, are the internal errors and can become a cause of system crashes and freezes.
Hope it works for you.
If issue still exists then use system utility tool like PCFresher for an instant fix.

Brought a msi L1300 from a pawn shop. how do i reset to factory settings?

The computer should have come with an OS install disc. Insert this disc, boot off of it, and reinstall Windows over the existing installation, formatting the target hard drive before hand.

I have Amilo L1300.It will not power on.dc plug and charger have been checked both ok.It was working ok then tried to power on nothing at all no bleeps nothing.I have tried to get hold off a repair manual...

Try taking out battery and plug in power. If it works, battery is faulty. If not,
Try taking out your hard disk plug in power, if it works, hard disk is faulty. If not,
Try taking out memory card, if there's a sound, memory card faulty. If no sound, it's your motherboard that is causing the error.

Note: If machine is under warranty no need to pay for the repairs.

I just upgraded my pc by MSI G31M3 but turns off in ~10min

Change the SMPS to a higher wattage rating. Your old one might not be able to supply the required wattage hence it heats up and automatically the PC shuts down to prevent any further damage. A extra cooling fan at the back would help too, i.e. after installing the new SMPS of 450-500 Watts.......sodeep
