Laptop Logs and Hangs when playing FIFA2008

This isn't a solution as of yet but if you have updated everything and it runs fine for 14/17 minutes it could be that the card is overheating. I have run into this several times with gamers. The load on the card causes it to heat up more when playing games. Check and make sure all vents and the fan are clean for one. Over time they will clog and not cool your CPU and Video Card.
In other cases the video card is just not up to it. It will play for a time, overheat and then distort or stop working at all. Is that card adequate for the games you play?
One gaming laptop I worked on overheated and soon the graphics card would not work at all. Had to replace the motherboard.
First make sure it's not overheating, Second,check compatibility of your hardware to your game. Third, double check your drivers, completely uninstall then reinstall.

You can go to Control Panel, Power Settings and under advanced settings (sleep mode) select NEVER

check you direct x  by typing  dxdaig in run run the test and se if it passes if not the card driver is not binding to the direct x 3 d games will not play maybe sound . 

sounds like yo had the same Probles that I had with my 5200 geforce The install did not go well. what was happening was the direct x was binding to the old mother board graphics system and not the new card . to make it rebind just change the refresh rate in the nvidia icon in your task bar . disable the display adapter from device manager for the motherboard graphics .put the card in the slot change the montior cord boot up check you direct x by typing in run dxdiag and test directx to be sure it is runing with your card you can also see that fron the about nvidia you must have the driver for the card installed to do all this.. hope I helped

this is common to Hp. your graphics card is not enough for playing high graphics game.

change your graphics card or you may upgrade your card.

CAUSING RAM TO OVERHEAT ALSO.

THE BIGGEST KILLER FOR PERFORMANCE IS HEAT.

Install the latest driver for A9250 from here. Install DirectX 9 from here

Does your system meets the minimum requirements for those game? If yes and if you don't play games and your system hangs too, do you get a blue screen with error codes on it? (e.g. 0x0000000E), if so it could possibly be a possible driver conflict and/or a hardware problem. Try running this at a command prompt, if your on vista run it as administrator (start > all programs > accessories > command prompt > right click > run as administrator), then on the black box, type /sfc scannow. Works on XP/Vista. It should fix any corrupt system files. Try also updating the drivers for your video card and try running Everest, a free diagnostic & benchmark tool, you can find it here.
