No it isn't the same. the model number is TB12-2 (670) it was manufactured in 6 of 2001. I talked with Magic Chef who referred me to Maytag and then Maytag referred me to Whirlpool and all of the above cannot figure out who owned the rights to make that model because they have no info on the model number at all. It looks like this is your maker. The controls are pretty simple, bottom heat, top heat, both heat sources. And then a timer switch. With a 16 year old, probably just best to get a new one.
