I have a Mitsubishi 1080 intergrated hd tv ieee 1394 Model WS-65517. it comes on i can get to the menu button but when i got to the audio and video it freezes and wont do nothing i have to turn it off i wanted to usebit for a game tv for my ps3 but cannot get it to go to the channel that shows my ps3 menu and when i go to the menu after messing with it for a minute or two it turns itself off

Some of the older Mitsubishi with HD 1080 have only one component input for HD---it is marked on rear as DTV----also a model number may allow me to give another suggestion--Some of these sets (ws, wt, vs models) will on occasion lock out or disable the input/s.

Depending on model number most also have 3 hidden menus---one is the option menu----it allows with the Mitsubishi remote via a 4 digit number (by model number) to enter there and do a hard reset of the set----sets every setting back to factory original---seen it "cure" all kinds of odd problems from missing rear inputs, no sound, odd video issues---you name it.

Get me the model number and I will see if can find the code for yours--you can also try hooking first direct a 1080 blue ray or Dvd if you want to see if the input is active or not first.

Don't you have more than one HDMI input on the back of your TV? If so, use another input and then select that input with your remote. If not, you may have to do the input replacement which you describe.

Connect your component cables to the DTV connections.

try holding in the menu and input/device buttons on the front of the set both together and see if it blinks a series of blinks, pause briefly then blinks a second series of blinks, let me know what the blinks were sush as 22 or 24

IYou have to have your comcast box tuned to a channel that is broadcast in HD. On your Comcast remote hit menu. This will bring up several icons, one is HD. Select that icon and it will bring up the TV Guide for just HD channels. Select one and tune to that channel. Once your on that channel use your original remote and hit menu, then advance features, then go down to video display and change it from 480 to 980 or 1080. Let me know if this helps.

the tv is not come on.it has a flashing green light on.tv model hd 1080.

check the capasitor near the plyback value 250 volts and also the B+ capasitor
