Performing a power reset
1. Turn off the television.
2. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
5. Turn on the television.
How to establish an HDMI connection between a TV and other device.
Follow the steps below if the HDMI® connection between your TV and other device is not working:
1. Make sure both the TV and other device are turned on.
2. While turned on, unplug the power cords for the TV and device from the electrical outlet.
3. Disconnect the HDMI cables from the TV and other product.
4. Wait 60 seconds.
5. While the HDMI cables are disconnected, plug the power cords back into the electrical outlet.
6. Turn on the TV.
7. Re-connect the HDMI cables.
8. Turn on the HDMI-connected product.

The TV should now detect the HDMI signal from the connected device and operate normally. If there is still a problem, disconnect the HDMI cable from both products and then reconnect it in the opposite direction. In some situations this has been reported to resolve connection issues.

SOURCE: dvd player will not open

look at the bottom of the unit and see if it has a slot to put in a pin and manually open the drive, most of them have some way to do this look for a slot or pin hole to push the release, sometimes they do this because someone pushes the drawer closed instead of using the button or remote, you will have to open it to reset it if that is the case you might have to easily force it open.

SOURCE: Built-in DVD player

Are you trying to play DVD's you've made or copied yourself or new one's you buy from an actual distributor? Because sometimes self-ripped Cd's & DVD's won't play on a LOT of DVD players. Otherwise it's bad DVD player and you should go get it swapped out if it's not too late.

Hi I cannot find the dvd eject button on my sony bravia. Can you please help me

All the new models of DVD player have no eject buttons. Its a safety feature to prevent the eject door from jamming or motor failing when somebody ejects the disc while the player is in a cabinet with a glass door. Also the logic is one has to approach the player to remove or insert the disc anyway !!!

Sony 5 changer dvd player won't work. displayed code 31

Hi:
This may be caused by one or two causes. The laser pickup assembly is bad or the most common failure for DVD and CD players is the spindle motor. This motors bushings fails over time and does not spin the disc at the right speed so the unit times out. You can repair the by purchasing what sony calles the Mech Assembly it comes with new laser and stepper motor as well as the Spindle motor.

Bravia indicates no signal from Sony BDP S350 DVD

I once had a similar problem, although with a different TV. It was insufficient to just power down the TV -- I had to unplug the TV so that it would re-initialize. It solved my issue.

Are you talking about the DVD player built into the HT? Make sure it's selected as the output device using the "function" buttons. The HT should say "DVD".
