Hey Pete.. this sounds serious.... will it rev up while in neutral? If it revs freely and high.. the power head should be ok.. if it will NOT rev up freely and high.. STOP - you are causing more damage..
Check the compression with a good gauge..it should be 125psi minimum.. with no more than 10 psi difference between any two cylinders.. DO this WITH the THROTTLE WIDE OPEN...
Can you turn the propeller by hand while it is in neutral?..Of not.. this is the problem.

99 voyager starting problems

Your ignition switch is going bad. The strange noise is the starter remaining engaged and locked to the flywheel. Your best bet is to have the starter tested at your local auto parts store, to deduce that it is not, in fact, your starter.

I have a 95' jag vanden plas. Washed the car, not the engine, ended up cutting off. Waited a couple hours for it to start up again. I drove home and let it run for a while. It cut off and hasn't...

chances are your distributor got wet. open the distributor, dry the inside and clean the contacts with a piece of sand paper.. thats should give you the spark you need to get started.
if it isnt that check your coil.
your distributor looks like this,,
http://img.auto555.com/photo/offer1/41749/sell-ignition-distributor.jpg
see its held by two spring clips, open the clips tp open the distributor,, clean it , clean the metal pins inside with sand paper,, put it back up..

Strange noises under hood...

this is one of those things that can drive an auto mechanic nuts. probably start with two people if the noise only happens with the hood shut it could be even worse.in these cases it may be worth it to talk to a dealer.maybe this is a somewhat comman problem.if it makes the noise with soom regularity with the hood open, have someone try to get a better feel for where the noice is coming from.these are not simple to find=effort.

95 f150 will turn over but not start. If it sits

Sounds like fuel pump or fuel pump relay but most likely pump. If the pump get too hot after running, the pump will not build up enough pressure to start but after sitting, it will cool off enough to build up the proper fuel pressure.

Another thing to check is the ignition module for the distributer. They are known to heat soak also however you typiocally get a cut out or miss feel when those have issues.

Die for a few hours

Check the battery and the alternator. Sounds like maybe electrical. Also the coil. I had a car once that the coil was bad and it had simular problems.

Car Airconditioner giving stange clunking noise and hisses in engine compartment

its a sure problem due to mechanical failure done/occured due to vehical's sudden jurk, or mal fixing of A/C elements during vehical serives, kindly go for the company serive station, without wasting much of time, as due to perssure building up in compressor may lead to further damage to the system, and please avoid you yourself fixing of the things, if you are not well expertised in it. thank you.
