Need wiring diagram for Audiovox amp 785 equalizer

if its one of those equalizers with the sliding controls and lights then yes it might as long as it doesnt tell you to ground the speakers. If its a cross over then you need amps for each of the 3 sounds , ( lows or bass,) ( mids or treble ) ( and highs ) Look on yahoo for the clubs and there is one that has wiring schematics for most every kind of electronic device. Be careful because its so easy to fry a radio messing with cheap sound inhancements. I have fried hundreds of electronic things learning and still do. Be extra anal about tape and connections for if one little strand of wire touchs anything its not supposed to it smokes the channel. Then you can listen to the wind. Good luck.

You will need to connect the low level input leads from the head unit to the amplifier (they are RCA cables). If there are no low level leads from the head unit, you will need to connect the wires from the speakers directly into the high level inputs using a wiring harness which should have been included with the amp. It should include a wiring diagram. You will need to use that diagram in conjunction with the truck's wiring diagram in order to know which wires to connect. They are color coded and once you have the vehicle wiring diagram (which can be downloaded by searching for it on google.com), it should be easy to determine which wires to connect.

Figured it out by taking radio lid off and following the leads:

Black/white--ground (-)
Green/white--battery (+, that is, always on)
Orange/white--ignition/ACC switched power
White--left front +
Red--Left rear +
Blue--right front +
Yellow--right rear +
Light Green--negative for front speakers
Purple-negative for rear speakers

Hello, if you want to put an equalizer on an amp then I would suggest you get a preamp style equalizer, non powered of course, take the rca output whichever one you want to use and conect it to the input on the equalizer. Then take the output from the equalizer and hook it up to the input on your amp. That's it. Most equalizers also have sub outputs, make sure you hook the correct output from the equalizer up to your amp. Also most have 3 outputs depending on the type you have. The diagram would be :-

1. bottom right( red wire 12 v dc on/off ignition switch)
2. top right( blue wire with inline fuse to amplifires)
3. bottom left( black wire ground)
4. top left( blue wire stereo remote wire)
