I have a maytag refrigerater 2266AEB that is stuck on solid PE000 and I can't reprogram it. how do I reprogram at this point?

I would lift up the drip tray and clean that out making sure nothing is under it. If it is coming from the dispenser then there is no reason to check under the fridge unless you think something is under there like grapes or berries.

I finally got the display to respond. It was stuck solid on PE0 000. I kept doing the door Plus down arrow then release door alarm until it added a decimal point... the literature did not say what to do if not flashing.

sounds like it is not defrosting properly you probably need a technician

This one is easy your thermostat is gone. You may notice the unit never shuts off.

Just had this problem a few weeks ago. tube from freezer was frozen solid 1-2 feet down from the freezer. Empty EVERYTHING out of the the Fridge and the freezer into coolers or other suitable 2-4hr container(s). Unplug the unit and use a hair blow dryer on the coolest warm setting. If it's too hot it may melt plastic or styrofoam parts. As long as long as you have everything out and it's going to be at room temperature for a while, why not clean it totally out with fantastic or your favorite cleaner. Once your sure the clog is gone from the tube, put it all back together, plug it in and stop being a slob and keep it clean!!!! hehehehehehe

When a unit freezes in the lower drawers this is usually due to a thermistor which is not functioning properly. If you can provide your model number I can try to locate your schematic to your unit showing the thermistor that you would replace to alleviate this issue. I will await your reply as to the complete model number of your unit.
p.s if you had ice up the top of the unit as well then you would look at the damper door otherwise known as the diffuser door in some units or the control for the door as the problem area in your unit.

THERE ARE TWO VALVES LOCATED AT THE REAR OF THE APPLIANCE ONE FOR THE WATER AND ONE FOR THE ICE.I TAKE IT THAT THE WATER DISPENSER IS WORKING OK AS YOU HAVE NOT MENTIONED THAT ITS ALSO GIVING YOU A PROBLEM.I FIND IT VERY STRANGE THAT MAYTAG TECHNICIANS CANNOT PICK UP THE FAULT IF YOU STILL HAVE NO JOY I SUGGEST YOU GO TO HIGHER MANAGMENT AND GET IT RESOLVED.BUT TRY AND LOCATE THE VALVE AND SEE IF THEY BOTH WORKING.GOODLUCK.MOHAMED

it should hook up to a water line with a coupling at the bottom of the freezer door. take the kickploate off and then look underneith the refrigeraqtor and there should be a clear plastic tube there3 to hook up to.
