Have a mitsubishi WD73827 model tv. The picture curves then goes to normal. It does this off and on the whole time tv is on. Also the only colors what show are green, blue, black and white

I expect the answer to your question is YES! The convergence amplifiers are a common problem in many projection sets. When you search for the replacements you should find that the originals have been superceded by improved parts. Also be aware that when these parts fail, they will usually damage a resistor in the convergence yoke return path. The resistor must be replaced with one of the correct value or the convergence, though responsive, will be out of range.
