Pink Rear Projection TV

If your TV uses CRTs to project an image on the screen, it sounds like either the red one is goofy, or the green and blue CRTs are goofy.I had a CRT-based Sony RPTV, and had problems with one of the CRTs dying. I had an extended warranty that covered the bill, but the repair tech (who'd actually been to my house for several other issues with this TV) told me that I'd saved a ton of money having that extended warranty (or service contract if you must). He said that replacing the CRT would have been about a $500 or $600 service call.Frankly, I'd just bag it and get a new TV. I'd look for a store that will cart your old TV away for you because you don't wanna give yourself a hernia lugging that old monster out to the curb. Not only will the picture be significantly better and brighter, but you can also pick up a TV will all the nifty internet gizmos included.

Screen went black all of a sudden but we get still get audio anyone else have this trouble?

if you hit the menu button on the remote and get the green display in the corner then its loss of video . if nothing comes up then its either a failure triggering a shut down on the HV and would require further trouble shooting to track down the failure

Tv won't turn on

6-blink error = "low B OCP/OVP (overcurrent/overvoltage)". It means that the +5v line on the A or B board is shorted or overloaded.
You need to open the tv and test the components powered by that line to find the faulty one. While you are there check the different B+ lines for over-voltage, due to defective regulation chips - which can cause the High Voltage to be too high.

Mitsubishi model WD-52525 purple lines across screen

Rolling lines are color bars that scroll from the top of the screen to the bottom and generally represent a malfunction of one or more raster patterns. The TV picture is made up of scanning lines; however yours has an additional color line moving in between the normal synchronization process. Various electronic elements such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and resistors, may change in value over time. Changes can make various electronic functions change from a normal routine to an abnormal routine such as you are seeing on the TV. If the problem is too difficult to put up with, you can have the mainboard or video RGB projection tubes replaced if found defective by a professional technician. Other than that, you cannot fix the problem yourself.
