I have a Samsung rf26xaewp side by side fridge that was built in 11/2009. On the front of ice maker the setting on the left is flashing 88. The setting on the right is bouncing between 88 an 89. I cleaned the back an looked at computer board, there is a red light on. Fridge feels like its thawing. Only thing ice maker will do is expense ice.
Press and hold the top left button until the seconds digits flash, indicating that you have accessed the time-setting screen. Press the bottom right button to reset the seconds to "00" and then press the bottom left button to advance the flashing to the hours digits. Adjust the hours digits to the desired time using the top and bottom right buttons. Press the bottom left button to advance the flashing to the minutes digits, and set them to the desired time with the top and bottom right buttons. Press the top left button to exit the time-setting screen. Have a nice day.
to clear the 991 Takagi code, simultaneously press the bottom 2 grey buttons of the four just to the left of the flashing LED light. When the LED stops flashing, release and then press the reset button on the black panel about 8 inches above that
Try pushing / stop reset first. The setting the time by pushing clock button .... punch in the time and push the clock button again. Just respond here if that does not work. 88-8888 is what you get after your first plug it in. Sometimes you will get PF if you unplug it and plug it back in. If that appears push stop / reset / clear. (Same button)
