Error 5 is pointing to heating problem. Here are the parts that may be malfunctioning:
1- Thermal sensor not registering heating. Replace it.
2- Heater not heating up. Check continuity on heating element. If there is no continuity, (This is rare). Replace heater (Thermo block).
The problem can be linked to:
1- Missed descaling of machine for extended period.
2- Use of automatic descaling method suggested by Jura. Descale the machine every three months using Manual descaling method.. Services Unlimited Inc Parts Guru Since 1988

I have a Jura Impressa J9 but there is no Descale or Decalcify option to choose

If your machine is not displaying the descale or decalcify option, you can try forcing it into descaling mode. To do this, press and hold the rotary switch until "RINSE" is displayed. Briefly press the rotary switch again until "RINSE" lights up. Turn the rotary switch until "DECALCIFY" is displayed. Product Support - JURA

My jura j9 continues to show the error of "empty drip tray" I have cleaned the metal connectors in the back and cleaned and dried the back of the Machine. Please help

If the machine says TRAY MISSING it's the contacts at the back so clean as other people have stated, you can also use a cardboard nail file to clean the contacts at the back if there really dirty!.

If the machine keeps saying EMPTY GROUNDS even though you have, pull out the tray, look just inside the aparture where the tray goes top right at the front there is a small slot where if you look closely you can see a small white micro switch. This will be probably gunged up with coffee and the switch will be stuck up, get a can of WD40 and squirt a small amount up into the switch then poke the switch with a small screwdriver up and down until it moves smoothly.

Then replace all the bits, sit down, look smug and have a coffee cos you've fixed it!!

The sub woofer wire inside came off my Simmons DA200S. where do i plug it back in?

If you look on the circuit board that the big black heat sink is attached to, there are two output amp chips (integrated circuits) attached to it. IC7 is the sub output amp. Next to that is a white jack with two pins sticking out, labeled J9. J9 is where you plug your sub into.
