Vacuum shuts off after running a few minutes. It is fully charged

Since no make or model was offered... Barbara Fay,

WILD-EYED SPECULATION is fully authorized...

It would be merciful to both of us... to post details with your question... the world is full of VACUUMS... Welcome...

but I'll offer some suggestions anyway...

Like... Perhaps the bag (if equipped) is also
fully charged...?

Some of the high end unit have pressure sensitive switches... a mere clog can cause a shut down...

Check the hose (if equipped)... for free flow

Likewise those missing ear-buds could be wrapped around the beater-brush (if equipped)

Hope any of this helps

Dyson DC44 Animal Handheld Vacuum, keeps cutting out

dyson-dc44-animal-handheld-vacuum-keeps-ehecv3x4uj13pgwprhzrjmma-4-1.jpgThe battery falls slightly loose, so you have to fasten it securely to the body of the vacuum. I learned this from another user here on Fixya. He uses electric tape. I used one of those rubber bracelets that kids wear. Worked perfectly!

My handheld dyson is not working - initially it was cutting out after only a few mins then seconds now it won't work at all despite showing green light ??

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear your DC31 Animal is only working intermittently. When fully charged, this machine should have a maximum runtime of 10 minutes, or 6 minutes on the maximum power setting.

There are several factors which could cause this, and to determine what's at fault we'd need to take you through some quick diagnostic checks when you have your machine to hand. The machine would also need to be fully charged, so please make sure it's had 3.5 hours to recharge before calling us.

You can reach our freephone customer Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US). Our experts will be happy to help further.

Best wishes,

Jack

My dyson handheld charges fully, but keeps cutting out when using. About 7 seconds is the longest continual usage time

Your battery is losing voltage too quick. It has probably developed a 'memory'. Dyson claims that their handheld has the best suction out of all the handhelds out there. In order to maintain that claim the circuit board will shut off power to the motor when the voltage drops below adequate charge for full suction.
We need someone who can teach us to bypass that part of the circuit so it won't cut power to the motor or you need to replace the battery.
Shorting the battery like an Aircraft battery then re-charging won't fix it.

Cleaned inside of microwave with all purpose cleaner, now it runs but does not heat up food.

Remove the plug from the power point and make sure that you completely dry the inside of the microwave with a clean dry cloth , keep the door open for drying. If by any chance the liquid or the water has seeped into the magnetron port then it might have clogged and damaged the unit.
Please check this section inside the chamber and dry this soft spot fully before you can try to switch on the microwave.
If this wont work then check the fuse inside the unit and the thermal cut off switch if this has tripped.

The green light is on as though the battery is fully charged, however, when I start a cleaning cycle, it beeps and goes to red immediately without moving.

Remove the battery, hold down the POWER button for ten seconds, then put the battery back in and charge overnight. If it still tells you it's out of power as soon as you start it, it's time for a new battery. http://store.irobot.com

Roomba cuts off after a minute or so.

If you have a 400 series Roomba, try removing the battery, then holding down the power button for ten seconds, then recharging the unit before you run it again.

If you have a 500 series Roomba, don't take out the battery-- just press and hold the "spot" and "dock" buttons for about fifteen seconds. The Roomba will play a tune, and you can then charge it and try running it again later.

Vacuum does not run at all

It is most likely the switch if you are not getting any continuity to it. the switches on these units are designed to cut power to keep the motor from shorting out. you can get the power switch here for 28.99 less the shipping. http://www.kirbypartstore.com/kiswas.html
