Hi,
I've got an Optoma EP757 projector that works fine for about 10 mins then just seems to automatically switch the lamp off & power down. There are no warning lights flashing or anything and if I restart its fine again for about 10 mins and does it again. Any help appreciated.
Regards.
Pls check if the lamp is not so old that is giving the same problem. If lamp is almost new, then you can have a check with the Ballast unit card and then the loose connection in the Power supply or may be overheating and tripping.

Check fan bearings/speed and airflow for restrictions like dust.

I have a EP 757 also and have the same problem after about 20 min. a mesage apears "Over tempeture shuting down" I sent it in to optoma an they wanted to change out the DMD Board and change out the Lamp for $850. I declined the repair, the image is fine!!. Can a lamp that has a hundered or so hours on it run hotter ? Lamps are around $300 so I would like to know Before spending that much, any sugetions?
I have the same problem but I can extend the watch to time to about 90
minutes if I crank up the AC and cool down the room. This problem
didn't kick in until I had the projector for about 1 year (intermittent
use - probably about 100 hours). I've tried blasting the unit with compressed air but no luck. Should I open the unit up? What should I look for when I do (specific instructions please).
its because optoma put a copper shild in the lamp cover I toke it out problem solved
