Unlikely that the led would flatten the battery
I would be having a load test done on the battery as it may be discharging internally or give you the impression that it is flat because it will not produce the current needed to spin the starter
other pointers to check are the output from the alternator and if it is dc volts , voltage regulator , belt condition and tension
failing that put an amp meter in the circuit for the ground and see what current is flowing
Items of high current draw are bulbs ( glove box, boot, interior light), faulty diode to the alternator, fans, big amphilers left on and faulty ECM and light relays

Have ford explorer that starts then dies after 5 seconds98

Four door, explorer sport two door? Theft light flashes?1998 model? Do you know what (PATS) is? fords anti-theft system. Most ford vehicle the Pats system disables the starter electrical - keeping the starter from working. Not in the case of your vehicle, does not disable the starter , probably cuts power to the fuel injectors killing the engine that way. Need to have vehicle scanned for codes.

How to disable anti theft system for a 1996 Ford expedition?

The passive anti-theft system (PATS) is installed on every Ford Expedition at the factory. While some erroneously call this system the factory alarm, it really is not an alarm system. The PATS system will arm itself if someone attempts to start the vehicle with anything other than the PATS key programmed to that specific vehicle. Once the system is triggered, the red light on the dash will begin flashing faster than normal and it will remain in this mode until either the proper key is inserted and turned in the ignition or 15 minutes has passed.

2001 Ford Escape battery drain. Have a brand new battery and something is draining it. Had alternator checked and it is fine. Do not have any idea on what to do or where to start.

Check to see if any of the lights in glovebox, underhood, or trunk/hatchback are staying on. Also may have some aftermarket devise that is not powering down when you turn off the key ie (stereo/ amp or alarm system) you may have partial alarm system? Check that panel lights also go off with the light switch they are sometimes hard to see in daylight and not at all once the battery dies! Hope this helps.

Whick fuse do i pull for the alarm to stop lights draining the Battery. I have a 52 plate clk 2.7 diesel

Sounds like an after market alarm. If so, take it out or replace it. When I get cars like yours or won't start. If I see an aftermarket system, I tell customers that I won't work on them till this is out of the cars system. 99% of the time, The car works.

New battery keeps draining. Don't know what is going on. It's a 2001 ford explorer sport 4.0 l.

Starter and alternator are the most likely culprits(one day). Interior lights and radio will also cause this. But usually takes a couple days to drain the battery.

MY FORD ESCORT 1.6 FINESSE 1997 IMOBILISER FAULT

disconnect the battery for 1 minute and try again - ---quick fix possible with that---
if that makes no difference then I would like to know exactly what model of alarm and immobiliser the car has - what is the maker + model no/serialno of the keyfob for the alarm, I can get the info I need off that.
also you can check the fuse in the alarm if you know where the alarm is situated, it will have a fuse either on an inline fulseholder on as a spade fuse stuck into its casing somewhere - replace the fuse if blown and try again to start the car ------------ tell me the model no of your alarm and immobiliser if no joy after battery/fuses and I can read up on them and see if I can fix your problem...
