Need to reset/re-program it as specified in the user manual. When the keypad loses power during the battery change it loses the original settings and need to be reprogrammed. New keyless pad also need to be programmed to link with the receiver.

hello - we have a craftsman model 139.53684 and these are the instructions for setting the personal entry code - (you will need two people doing this) To set the code using the Premium control console: 1 Enter a four digit personal ID # of your choice on the keypad then press and hold ENTER. 2 While holding the ENTER button, press and hold the LIGHT button on the premium control console (the premium control console is the main opener button mounted in the garage probably near your door) 3 Continue holding the ENTER and LIGHT buttons while you press the pushbar on the premium control console (now all theses buttons are held) 4 When the motor units lights blink Release buttons - it has learned the new code. If bulbs are not installed you will hear two clicks. To set the code using the 'LEARN' button (you will need a ladder & two people doing this) you used the learn button to set the new remote. 1 press and release the learn button on the motor. The learn indicator light will glow steadily for 30 seconds 2 within 30 seconds enter a four digit personal ID number of your choice ob the keypad then press and hold the ENTER button 3 Release the button when the motor unit lights blink If bulbs are not installed you will hear two clicks. I hope this fixes your problem - please post & let me know - thanks Sam

SOURCE: My keypad works,my remote opener does not, even

It is related. One of the buttons on your wall control is the lock button and has a lock icon on it. Press and hold it for 3 seconds. The blinking should stop and your remote should now work.

SOURCE: Have Craftsman model 139.53754 keyless entry pad.

There is always the possibility that it has just quit but you can try programming it. Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in your 4 digit code and press enter.

Ladies / Gentlemen: I have a Craftsman 139.53975SRT1 Garage Door Opener. What is the correct keyless entry pad for this opener? Will a 139.53876 keyless entry pad work with this opener? Thank You! ...

The correct keypad for your opener is 139.53684. The 53876 keypad is an older technology and will not work correctly. If you program it you will find your remotes no longer work and if you reprogram your remotes the keypad will not work.

That keypad should work with your opener. I suspect the keypad is bad if you have other remotes that work. If not it could be the logic board.

Just bought a new PD210DM opener but still have

I don't know this model. (in australia). the chamberlains here are probably the same. the 4 digit code you first put in the keypad is what you have to use. push the learn button on your operator then punch in your 4 digit No. Hold the enter button on your keypad until the light flashes on the operator.
That should code it in.

Installed new Sears keyless pad and it worked. Then programmed remote handheld door opener and it worked...but now my keyless pad is no longer working. How do I get both the keyless pad and handheld door...

It is really important that you get the correct keypad for your opener. If you got the wrong one you will have the problem you describe. There is a possibility the remote is bad but the odds are against the keypad at this point.

I have a craftsman garage door opener,i also bought a craftsman.

some door openers have a limited memory or a maximum number of remotes allowed this is usually 5-8 total entries. I works this way as you enter a device is progams into slot 1 on the memory then the next entry goes into memory 2 etc. if you exceed the number of memory slots then hte 1st one will be omited. You may have overridden your keyless if you have multiple remotes plus you car(s) may exceed your limit or you had several attempts with the keypad that used up the available slots. I recommend you try to reset the remotes now that you have successfully programed the keyless. If you find that reprogramming the remotes knocks out the new key pad then repeat the steps with all the remotes in sequence one after another. good luck
