Smeg pyrolitic oven is setting an alarm off on clock after we set the required temp it will start to heat up then the alarm goes off if not quick enough to reset clock, it then locks the oven door

in cleaning a pyrolitic oven is suppose to lock the oven door , this is a safety feature due to fact that oven gets up much higher in temp than a normal oven , the heated air it produces if let out would flash burn anything in front of it to ashes (people, pets, rugs, etc.) the clock doubles as your display window to see what temp oven is at , there should be a clock selection to see current time of day even if oven is in use , and last but not least , it has a delay cleaning start feature , you can set it to come on and clean it's self , Id recommend not to use this feature for safety reasons (I don't think the mfg thought that feature out too much )
the door should remain locked till oven temp is below a preset minimum safe temp ,id not force it open for safety reasons

F9 error code appears within two hours of self clean cycle

F9 error code on GE ovens is usually caused by a problem in the door lock/latch system for the self clean. You state it happens about 2 hrs into the clean cycle. My guess is the the control is not sensing that the door is actually locked. Could be several reasons. Bad door lock motor, Bad switch that senses the door is latched, or is some cases the main control board could have a problem and is just not reading the door is locked. You need someone with the right knowledge to trouble shoot which part is actually bad since it could several different problems.

F5e1 error code

The F5 E1 error message indicates the latch motor was unable to lock the door. When the self clean cycle is started, the control board will turn on the latch motor which is mounted on the rear of this range. The motor is connected to a cam that transfers the motors motion to a rod that runs under the cooktop. This rod connects to the actual latch mounted behind the oven door. The control board will then monitor a position switch that is actuated by the latch motor cam. As the motor rotates, the latch will engage the door locking it in place just as the cam contacts the switch button. When the switch contacts close, the control turns the latch motor off and starts the cleaning cycle.

img_5123.jpg
When diagnosing this failure, the error code gives us a good starting point to begin our trouble shooting. I removed the rear panel and started a clean cycle. Once the start button was pressed, the latch motor began to rotate, but didn't stop at the locked position. It continued to rotate three times and then displayed the error. I unplugged the range from the wall and using my meter, did a continuity check of the latch position switch (the one on the right). The switch was reading as an open circuit in standby and when I actuated the switch which tells me the switch has failed. The second switch on the latch assembly, by the way, is to turn the oven light off during the self cleaning cycle to protect the bulb. That way, if you leave the light switch on the control panel turned to the on position, that second switch will turn it back off. Good to know if you can't figure out why the oven light won't turn on.

With the failure down to the latch assembly, I checked the range parts to see if the switch came as a separate piece, but it looks like it's an entire assembly, and not individual parts. I removed the old latch after removing the two screws and six wires, then installed the new latchshow?id=y6f3ez5blva&bids=92089.709229668&type=10&subid=. Once all the wires were back connected to the proper terminals, I put the rear panel back on and plugged the range back into the outlet. Started a self clean cycle, but this time I heard the motor make one revolution and stop. The cycle started for the customer and a few hours later, I am sure the oven was nice and clean.

Started the cleaning cycle, and cycle stopped with a beep. Power is still on. Error F5 E1. The door is now locked.

Press the self-clean button. The panel becomes blank(---), then press the up arrow( ^ ). The panel will appear 3:00 (indication for the duration of self-cleaning). The oven will lock on its own and start the self-cleaning.

This code means the control has detected a problem with the door latch switch. Switch is defective and needs replaced. Part # is W10107820 and cost is $39.99. You can get it at this LINK
Before calling a repair shop,go to the circuit breaker box and turn off the power to the oven. then turn it back on and then see if the door is released and the error is cleared.
its probaly bent door latch or door sensor gone bad. try pushing on the door when you start the clean cycle see if that helps.
if not our suggestion would be to replace the part....

How do i fix error code F04 on Zanussi ZPB1260 single oven

Error Code F04 is due to the mismatch between the incoming line voltage and the voltage setting of the oven. To correct the error code follow the instructions given below : a) Make sure the line voltage corresponds with the setting of the oven. The voltage selector is located at the back and consists of two plugs. The white plug sets the oven for 208 V and black plug (or white plug with a black dot) sets the oven for 230 V. b) Make sure the line voltage is within +/- 10% tolerance. This is especially important during summer months, where line voltage has tendency to drop. c) If both steps above check OK, the error(s) may be caused by defective controller (DPU) board.

Fault 23 is displayed on the control panel after using teh self clean function on our miele double OVEN H398 BP2. IT IS NOT LISTED ON THE MANUAL WAHT DOES IT MEAN?

F23 means that the required pyrolitic temperature was not reached during the self-clean cycle. If the other half of the oven does not do this, then it could be a problem with a door lock switch or one of the overtemp sensors.

Self Cleaning error F9

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.
