In order to remove the front wheel bearings without press hub off the bearing and then the bearing out of the knuckle. To do the first step need a a Support Bridge. It is a special tool. Make bridge and use a general bearing pulled kit to replace bearings. use a "Front Wheel Drive Bearing Removal Adapters Puller Pulley Tool Set Kit" .To replace the bearing, remove front CV shaft taking care not to move the CV shaft too far out .

Is it possible to replace a front wheel bearing at home on a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer?

You would be better off replacing the entire hub assembly. Yes, bearings need to be pressed into place and this requires a hydraulic press.

Replace front wheel bearing

The front wheel bearing for your Impala is an integrated wheel hub/bearing/ABS.
The whole thing gets replaced. It should look like the one off my Bonneville; Bearing.

Remove wheel/tire. Remove brakes. Remove rotor. Remove axle nut. Press-out axle shaft*. Unplug ABS connector. Remove 3 bearing bolts.

*To press out axle, you may need a special tool from an auto parts store.
Don't forget to put the heat sheild back on during reassembly, and the axle nut need to be very tight.

Im looking for front left hub for ford focus 2lt 2001 but i couldnt find it can you help me find it and if possible where i can download the part picture thanks

The hub is the part the tire bolts to. The hub sits inside of the wheel bearing. The wheel bearing is pressed into the knuckle.

If you looking to replace the hub than you will need to remove the tire/wheel, the brake caliper, the brake rotor, the axle nut, separate the lower ball joint from the knuckle, separate the outer tie rod from the knuckle, remove the strut to knuckle bolts, push the axle out of the hub and remove the knuckle from the vehicle.

The knuckle will then need to be brought to a machine shop or a shop capable of pressing the old bearing out and pressing the new bearing in. You will ruin the bearing once you press the hub out of the bearing so if you need to replace the hub than you will need to replace the bearing at the same time.

The hub is the part on the upper left. the bearing is the part on the upper right.

How do i remove the front wheel bearing

I have just finished replacing the RH front wheel bearing on my 2006 F150 Super cab. Time it took was 1-1/2 hours. You will need a freezer to place the new bearing in while you remove the tire and hub.
The hub has a snap ring in the rear which you will need to remove.
Next you will need a HYD press to press out the bad bearing. You may need to find a friend to do this that has access to a press capable of at least 30TON.
It is a must to press out the bearing as square as possible to assure no damage to the hub.
Important step: Clean very well the hub including the snap ring grove clean clean.
Now that the new bearing has been in the freezer for about an hour and fifteen minutes and all the parts are clean you can press in the new bearing, make sure everything is pressing in square (it will require lots of tonnage and possible damage to the bearing or hub can happen.
Ok now that the bearing is pressed in install the clean snap ring and you are done.
Congratulations you just saved $200.00 on an entire assembly from Ford.
Get it in your mind. If it was installed it can be replaced. Don't let anyone tell you that it is not a serviceable part. Think about it if Ford installed it, it can come out and be replaced.

Replace front wheel bearings

The bearings in your car are pressed into a hub. If the part is available as an assembly, it can be replaced that way. Generally on a front drive car:
Remove wheels and brake calipers
If it is pressed in: remove the rotors, disconnect the drive shafts and remove the steering knuckle. Then the old bearing is pressed out and the new one pressed in with a machine shop press. If the bearing is part of the hub, that will be unbolted and the new one swapped.

On a scale of 1-10 difficulty, Id rate it a strong 7
