How do I open up?

Mine is shutting down after 2minutes. It keeps turning off like 90sec in. I just changed the lamp. It may be dust on the board but I don't know how to open it. So maybe how to open it? The bulb goes out, the fan speeds up, 20 seconds beep and shut down saying thermic issue. Oh, and it's been working fine for a year and a half, bulb just shot today.

It is the the Thermistor for the lamp. Had the same problem with 5 units at a school and all the technicians I spoke with said it's time for a new projector except one technician who took the time to analyze the problem. If you could get a trainied technician to change the thermistor then you are in business.

My samsung home theater system it keeps on switching off i can say in 2minutes too5 sow i want to know what might be the problem?

Your home theater system has built in overheating protection. If it gets too hot, it will shut itself down to prevent itself from melting. If it is turning off without shutting itself down first, there could be an issue with the power supply from the wall outlet.

I have updated my WD60C9 after changing both the lamp and circuit board. Why does my TV Power off after a min

Sounds like cooling fan is not supplying enough air to the lamp. When it gets too warm, the controller will perform a safety shut-down. Clean and lubricate both of the cooling fans. One is a squirrel cage type and the other is a pancake type. Make sure the filters are clean and all dust is vacuumed from the lamp chamber. Make sure both fans turn easily. Regards.

Why my projector shuts down

This is listed in Projection TVs but I am assuming this is for a projector by your statement. This is a common thing to happen when the lamp needs to be replaced. After you replace the lamp you will have to reset the hour counter back to zero in the settings menu.

TV turns itself off, then on automaticlly

The fan should run for a few minutes after shut off to cool the lamp down.

If I read and understand correctly somewhere in the cycle you are getting 5 red blinks? that is an error code........

Either you or I can Google the model number of the set with 5 blinks.....or visit the Sony site to see what it means.....

Turns off shortly after turn on

try blowing out the set and especially the three fans and the area around them---seen a number of these where a dirty fan will slow down just a little and even stop set from coming on at all or shutting down sometimes.

We usually roll them outside and with a aircompressor clean the set out, it usually looks like a dust storm.

I have had more than a few brought in that would not power up and as soon as cleaned outside, came up and worked.

The actual air intakes are on the front of the set and dust gets sucked into the unit.

Ok so I changed the lamp in my wd 62327 and now I have no picture or sound. The lamp light blinks the turns red and the whole tv shuts off. Any suggestions? Someone said to reset it but don't know...

If issue was different from before you replaced the lamp---remove lamp cartridge and look to see the place where it plugs in that the 2 pin socket the lamp connects to is not out of position or got bent when you replaced the lamp.

A reset if it has it is a recessed tiny button on front control strip up front--those when plugged in will blink (green) for 70 seconds and go out and then set can be turned on.

General: the set will shut down for a lot of reasons-----from a lot of dust inside on the fans (this one should have 3 fans) and I have seen it not allow the set to come up and then shut down---the sets intake a lot of dust thru the front and if the fans get coated the set will detect one or more are not turning at the correct speed, turn the lamp off and shut the set down.

Let me know what you find and give me more information if possible.

Sony Dlp, 46" shuts off, cools off, then turns

This is probably a heat issue (assuming you aren't the one turning off the TV and aren't having regular power failures). This TV has two fans to help keep the components cool; if the temperature increases, the TV will shut down to protect those components. Also check if the ventilation slots are blocked and clean the dust off them. (When you have the TV open, you can blow out dust as well - much like dust removal for a desktop CPU.)

For replacement fans, you can go here: http://www.partstore.com/Model/Sony/Sony/KDF46E2000.aspx .

I hope this helps.

Schwinn 431 Elliptical doesn't register rpm's, distance, etc.

I have this same problem and called the customer service. The problem is that the rpm sensor is not working. It could be the sensor or something else. They had me check the connections first for the wiring harness at the top and middle and then sent me parts to work on the inside where I have my problem. I am still working on mine because the magnet was installed on the wrong side of the flywheel. Hope you don't have this issue.

Samsung 1080i compatible tv 42 inch

This is very common with Samsung and is considered a overheating or lamp issue. cheapest fix before changing out the lamp is to unplug the unit after it has shut off its fans and open the back up and blow all the vents and circuit boards off with can of compressed air. Then remove the lamp to get to the larger fan that is behind the lamp, be carefull to not let the fans to spin when you hit it with the air because it will spin the fans faster than they are ment to spin, so gently place a finger on the blades just enough to keep the fan still and clean off any dust you see on the blades and area. Put everything together and give it a test run. If it stays on longer you know it was just to dusty to stay cool , if no change then try the lamp.
