How do I remove the front interior light panel?

it's part of the door latch assembly , you have to take the door panel on the inside off .

Removal

1. Remove front door trim panel (23942) and watershield. Refer to Section 01-05 .

1. Remove screw retaining lamp switch (13713) to front door latch (21812).

1. Disconnect lamp switch from body main wiring (14A005).

Installation

1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.

Remove mirror mount cover assembly.
Remove inside door handle cup (22634).
Remove door lock control bezel.
Remove window control bezel.
Remove interior lamp lens.
Remove screw from interior lamp assembly body.
Remove screw from window control bezel opening.
Disconnect mirror, lock switches and memory seat on driver side from bezels and wire harness.
Disconnect window switches from window bezel and wire harness.
Lift front door trim panel (23942) vertically, out of weatherstrip and over lock rod.
Disconnect interior lamp (13776) from wire harness.
Remove front and rear door trim retention hooks into door inner panel.
To install, reverse Removal procedure, paying special attention when inserting inner door trim into weatherstrip. Rock inner door trim into weatherstrip and push downward until lower trim belt character ditch lines up with score mark on inner door panel.

You must remove the door panel (apply gentle pressure around several points between panel and door, end removal of at least one screw in the inside door handle). Once the interior panel is removed, there are several screws holding the speaker in place. Remove these screws and the speaker (once disconnected from the wiring) will come out.

If you are referring to a Whirlpool manufactured TOP LOADER (such as Kenmore, Estate, Roper, Frigidaire and some later model Maytags), the interior of the washer is accessed by removing the exterior washer case. The following link explains how:

Older Maytag and GE TOP LOADER interiors are commly accessed by locating the two retaining clip along the seam where the top panel meets the front of the washer (about 2 inches in from each side) and pushing in with a putty knife to depress. This releases the top and it can be lifted up. The access screws that hold the front panel in pace are now accessible and can be loosened to remove the front panel for full access to the interior.

If this is a FRONT LOADER, the interior is accessed on MOST models by removing the washer top panel. This is accomplished by removing the retaining screws that hold the top panel in place in the rear of the washer. This will allow access to the controls and dispenser. For access to the drain pump and drive components, you will need to remove the kick panel directly below the door. There are a series of retaining screws along the bottom front edge that hold the panel in place.

Unplug the dryer first, of course. With a putty knife, locate the clips under the front of the main top to release the spring clips. Lift the top and support it open. Disconnect any wire clips that are attached to the front panel, such as the door switch wires or wiring harness. There may be a zip tie attached to the wiring harness that you have to remove simply by cutting it off. On the inside, remove the front panel mounting screws down along the front inside edge of the panel. Pull the front panel up and out to remove. Disconnect the wires from the light bulb, carefully noting which wires go where, and press the release tab to remove the old light bulb housing. Install the new bulb and assembly by inserting it into the front panel and snapping it into place. Reattach the wires. Replace the front panel by aligning the slots at the bottom of the panel with the support clips. Lift on the front of the drum as you snap the front panel into place. Replace the panel screws and reattach any wiring that you disconnected to remove it. Rotate the top back into place, pressing down on the front to secure the spring clips. Plug it back in and voila! 1. Disconnect wires from front door lock switches (14017), outside rear view mirror controls (17B676) and window regulator control switches (14529) , if equipped; remove front door trim panel finish panel.

1. Remove interior lamp lens cover.

1. Remove screw through interior lamp opening.

1. Slide front door trim panel upward to disengage hooks.

1. Rotate top of front door trim panel away from front door (20125) , and lift bottom hooks from front door.

1. Disconnect window regulator jumper wire (14A630) .

1. Remove front door trim panel.

1. To install, reverse Removal procedure.

Carefully pull front door trim panel finish panel away from front door trim panel.
Disconnect wires from front door lock switches, outside rear view mirror controls and window regulator control switches, if equipped. Remove front door trim panel finish panel.
Remove front door trim panel retaining screw through front door trim panel finish panel opening.
Remove interior lamp lens cover.
Remove screw through interior lamp opening.
Slide front door trim panel upward to disengage hooks.
Rotate top of front door trim panel away from front door and lift bottom hooks from front door.
Disconnect window regulator jumper wire
Remove front door trim panel.

open door remove eight screws, four on plastic guides and same location on hinges. wiggle door and it will remove . now grab narrow ends of front panel and pull toward you. wwhen panel gets to 45 degrees pull off tabs at bottom.
