Vizio tv sound to speaker outlet dead

You have to go to setting and change the audio output to TV speakers for the TV speakers to work,, but, if you use a sound bar with optical connection...you have to set it also .. mine works the same way,,

You have to check the audio settings of your tv. There would be n option which allow you to choose the option between internal speakers or external speaker. You have to choose it as external speakers of amplifier.

An audio output may be available if your TV is connected to a TV service provider box. . If you use a box than check to see if there is an audio output available. This will by-pass the TV.

Last resort there is probably a 2.5 mm connection for headsets some where on your TV. You can use a 2.5 mm to White and Red RCA connector cable to connect TV to stereo

This would be a simple stereo connection with out surround..

If the TV and sound bar have an optical connector, then get the optical cable to connect the two. If not then use the audio out jacks on the TV and don't forget to change the audio set up to switch the sound to the sound bar.

your tv has an input and output for audio and video,find the audio output and connect the sound bar!

Go into ur tv Menu goto OPTION go down to Output Select,press enter make sure selection on (Fixed).This fixed selection will pick for the tv out put to tv speaker.Tv should have sound now on it speakers.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote work for the best used for to reajustment setting and setting on the tv Menu.

A sound bar fixed that on my 60" Vizio. But in your case the sound bar may be more valuable than a new TV.
