If it says it is a 5.1 system then that is what it is, no setting is made for this or provided for, it is the type of system, 5.1 means it has 2 front channels, 2 rear channel, a center channel and a subwoofer, Hence 5.1 .1 being the subwoofer. The system I see in in the photo is a 3.1

Have you checked your sound settings on your TV? It may be set on TV speakers.

According to the user manual, the fourthj LED flashing (Error D) means that a thermal (heat) shutdown happened. If Error D, Thermal shutdown, is indicated, turn off the Sound Bar and verify the ventilation slots in the Sound Bar are clear, the Sound Bar has proper ventilation and is not being operated in an environment that is too hot. If these conditions exist, reduce the volume level for the particular source content being played. My bar did this and I left it disconnected from the Ac power a full day , and it powered up the next day.
