Power cord is working, but computer will not come on and battery does not charge. this is on Dell Inspiron 1545 just over 1 year old.

You can simply remove the battery and connect the Power cord. Switch ON the laptop it should be working now.
Try after some time to connect the battery, If still its not working then you need to purchase a new battery.

My mouse will not charge in its recharger

ensure the power is plugged in and that the mouse's battery is in securely and if that doesnt work then try another power outlet, if it is running of usb power then dont run it through a USB hub rather directly in the computer. If that doesnt work then there is a product fault

Computer will not charge or power up is their some type of reset button? The unit Model NBQ115-TS05/TS09

tried to remove battery and ac for a little while?

if that doesnt work, remove battery and ac-power.
remove the ram
put ac-power back and try to boot without ram
(do you get a beep/error?)
remove the ac again
insert the ram
insert battery
insert ac
try to boot up again.

if that doesnt work its probably a mainboard error and you need to take the computer to repair.

Doesnt charge

This could most probably be a battery issue. To check if it is really a battery issue, remove the battery and plug in the AC adapter. If the computer powers up, then this is definitely a battery issue and you'll need to purchase a new battery or call your computer's manufacturer and ask them if they have battery exchange programs.

Help needed

Here is a fix I got from Sandisk support: Let's try this: take the battery out of the player and wait for a full 5 minutes. While the battery is out, please hold the power-on button for 10 seconds. After that, connect it to your computer (without the battery). Does it work when it's connected to the computer? Regardless of that result, disconnect it from the computer, then put a brand new alkaline battery back in, and see if it will turn on. Now, another thing I found that worked once, was to remove the battery, hold the power button for 5 seconds, then replace battery. The unit powered up after that.
