Using the recommended Bostitch finish fuel cells. Battery is charged green light blinking and fan come on. Doesn't fire when trigger pressed. This is a brand new unit never been fired. Just bought the 4 pack of fuel cells so they are in date.

Take it back to the supplier for a replacement or warranty fix
however as it is electric there may be a safety switch that you have to engage to make it work as it would go off when ever and spray nails and staples every where.

When i push on the gas the gun fires but won't fire any other time???

Hi Teddy,

I am assuming you are troubleshooting a Paslode, Bostitch, or Hitachi gas powered nailer?

Depending on the brand and model there can be several different things to look for. I would recommend starting with the fuel cell, this is the culprit in 3/4 of the problems - check the date stamped on the bottom (stores don't always rotate their stock so make sure you check the dates).

If the fuel isn't the issue I would want to know if you have a blinking green, solid green, blinking red, or solid red light when it won't fire.

Let me know if this is helpful - if not I will try and talk you through diagnosing it - please post the brand and model if you need further help.

Bostitch gfn1664k won'y work

Does fan operate when pushed against the work piece? If not take top of gun (The orange part) off the handle assy. Can you see a piece of white plastic sticking up? if not that is your problem, if it is there connect fan motor and spark plug lead to cylinder head. Connect battery and mind your fingers and cylinder head. push plastic towards rear. Does fan operate? No problem with switch or controller. Yes, keep holding towards rear and squeeze trigger. Was there a spark? No problem with switch or controller. Yes gun working. Problem Gas or seal related. Ensure dosage valve correct and fitted properly, ensure gas in date (Yes it goes out of date and start giving misfires) Check using a good make of gas, some of the cheaper brands are not as reliable. When refitting top part of gun ensure piston is fully at rear and the inside looks clean. Apply thin smear of oil around rim of combustion chamber where it slides over cylinder head. Carry out some test shots. If not firing it is possible there is a sealing problem. With battery removed and gas fitted can you hear gas hiss when pressed against work piece. No you may need to replace the gas cell door. Yes gun may need servicing. (strip and clean).

Passlode im250ii

Not much information to go on. first thing to check is the date on the fuel cell. On the bottom of the fuel cell you will find a use before this date. fuel goes bad. next is tomake sure the battery is fully charged (light on tool should be green when you put battery in). With fastners in tool depress on wood. Now you should hear the fan start. Pull trigger and it should fire. If t doesn't, make sure there is not a jambed nail. Open quick release on front of tool. Remove jambed nail push driver back inside tool with small screw driver. Try to fire tool again, you may have to lift the tool again off the wood and press back down. when doing this you are putting fuel in the chamber and you might have to do it more than once. Hope this helps. please give more information if it des not. Good luck

Does the fan run and the light blink ont he nailer? I have one that I just bought. I put in the wrong type of nails and got one stuck. The green light blinks and the gas cartridge is basically full, even the fan does run after I release the push lever, but no fire???

I wonder if yours is the same as mine did fire for a couple nails first just fine then got jammed...
