Give it a thorough cleaning.. if it still does not fire you might have to replace the spark plug.

Paslode with no spark could be one of a couple of things. First, is the tool clean? These tools are notorious for failing due to the amount of sludge that builds up inside the tool from use. If you are cleaning the tool yourself, you should make sure the wires leading to the fan unit are not getting kinked or pinched during reassembly. Lastly, the tool needs a new spark unit. One way to test this out is to remove fuel and get ear close to rear of tool for a test shot. If you hear the click of the spark plug then the spark plug is fine and chances are that this tool needs to be cleaned.

Hi Ady, Judging by all the different batteries work in other tools, my guess is that the circuit board has failed. If you feel up to it, you just need to solder a new one in. If not you need to weigh up the cost of having done and the cost of a new tool? Regards Alex

Have all the nails been cleared out of the tool where they were jammed? If not take the fuel cell out of the tool, and remove the battery before working on it. If still persists come back to this website for further help.

Hi there, Has the tool been striped down and cleaned lately? And are you using genuine paslode gas? If not, do these two fixes first and try again.

How old is it. Check the nail drive area to see if it is sticky etc. You may have to take it apart to fully check that out and/or to clean it and lube it. TRY spraying it with WD40 first.

Yes, it is normal for the fan to run when the trigger is pulled. Does the fan start when you depress the nose?If not, it most likely is a bent contact element, or a bad head switch.

check for broken return spring under trigger.

check the fuel for expiration date (on the bottom) also check for proper nail guage and for the tool being dirty and requiring cleaning and servicing. Also look for a bent safety. When it won't fire again is the driver retracted? If not it is probably dirty. Does it try to fire, you can check the spark unit before spending alot of money on it. is the cylinder really dirty, if so it needs a thorough cleaning. your instruction mnual detailes how to do this. also look for a jammed nail in the nose area and possibly a bent driver.

have had the same problem! started with a noisy fan then a non responsive one. try taking out the fan assembly as per service and drop a couple of paslode lube drops along fan shaft and gently compress fan to lubricate bearing, may not be a lond term fix but hasnt stopped since and that was over 2000 2inch ago. good luck.
