The MP830 does not include the ability to do Wireless Network printing. You can however, connect this printer to one of your Windows or Mac PCs and share it on the network, which is wireless, therefore accomplishing the same thing.
1) Install the Drivers and Software that came with your Printer. 2) Go to the Control Panel > Printers & Faxes 3) Right-click your printer and click "Sharing" 4) Choose Share this Printer, and give it a name. 5) You can then on, use the Add Printer Wizard on any other Windows PC and install it by searching for network printers.
Step 1 is the same for Mac 2) Go to System Preferences > Sharing 3) Check the box for Printer Sharing 4) Any Mac on the network can see it!! 5) Added treat: go to http://apple.com/bonjour to install bonjour for Windows, using this software you can print using any Mac printer on any PC
Gazzards,
First, what application are you printing from?
Some applications (TextEdit for example) modify the size of the print job (scaling) to fit the size if the window on the screen. So, if I open TextEdit and type "THIS IS MY TEXT" and print it, it's fair. If I resize the window to full screen by clicking the green circle and reprint (with no other changes) the text comes out minute.
If you've only tested one application printing, try another.
Another bit of printing information in Mac OS X: You can manage printers in a different way using your browser and pointing to this URL:
http://localhost:631/printers/
I use this to print a test page for printers, and it's a good test for your situation because it does not involve the print dialog settings. Just find the printer you use and click the "Print Test Page" button next to it.
Does it come out the correct size?
Please let me know if this helps.
