Hi Tinay
I found this on page 10 of the manual:
"MY SETTINGS
Your new microwave oven can be customized to suit your
personal preferences. Simply press the My Settings
button to configure the following options
No. 3 - Clock display control 1=12HR 2=24HR"
Link to manual page 10 --> Samsung SMH1713 User Manual Turning On The Power For The First
To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted text just above.
This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.
You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.
See page 8 of the manual for instructions on how to set the clock on this model.
However, only some models will allow you to change between standard and military time display modes. Try holding down the CLOCK button until the display prompts you to enter the time. Then tap the CLOCK button once more to see if it will let you switch from military to standard time. See the following link for additional details about Sunbeam microwave clock instructions:
My Samsung did this as well. Unplug for at least two minutes and plug back in. Press the clock button twice. Set the time and press clock button once more. Doesn't have to be correct time, any time will do as you can go back and set correct time later. After pressing clock it should be out of demo mode. Try 1 second on high cooking. This should take care of the problem.
I have consulted the Owners Manual and there is no mention of the demo mode. I would suggest that you unplug the unit or disconnect power if it is hard wired in, and try to set the clock then. I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If I have helped you, please help me, and rate this suggestion the highest FixYa rating. (Two Thumbs Up) Please Note: If you can not rate this post with the highest rating, then please do not leave any rating. I am doing this for free and I do not think that any rating other that the best is needed. If you need further assistance please comment to this post and I will try to help you further.
Press "Clock", type in the time on the keypad and then press "Start". The clock runs a little slow (at least on mine) and I have to reset it about once a month. It gets about 10 - 15 minutes behind after awhile.
