Hi, I have a few suggestions, hook up an indoor antenna. A set of rabbit ears would do fine.
another idea is to move the radio to a different location in the room. If you have florescent lighting in the room this will be the cause of the hum.

Gpx stereo cd won't work
The laser pickup head has failed, or the pladder motor that spins the disc is open, or there is no voltage to the motor. Chances are the whole assembly will need to be replaced, but as a rule it is cheaper to replace the stereo.

Default volume for durabrand hm3817dt
It appears there is no "good solution."

BUT! I didn't discover that this unit is not actually made by Durabrand. It's made by GPX and I've included a link to the user manual for this product (It's the same model, but the GPX version is black and sports the GPX logo).

How do you shut the ALARM off when you dont need it?
There's a reset button on the back. Press it w/ a ball point pen and your alarm should turn off and on normally.

Aslo. I discovered that this unit is not actually made by Durabrand. It's made by GPX and I've included a link to the user manual for this product (It's the same model, but the GPX version is black and sports the GPX logo).
