My Sony Bravia LCD TV reboots itself repeatedly. When I switch it on, sony Logo comes on the set is on for 10 seconds and then it switches itself off and restarts itself repeating the same sequence. I

There are no error codes. The redlight flashes only once before the TV reboots. There are no capacitors which are bulging. I tried removing the LVDS cable from the main board but the TV still reboots. Thank you for your help in advance

Thank you for the answer. Did you mean the power supply board or the main board which has the HDMI and the cable connections? When I checked the output from the power supply board to the board with the connection to the HDMI and audio, the output showed 5.5 volts in the power output when the TCV switches on, but it would show zero volt when the TV turns off. Thanks again

Replace main board

im not sure on this one but my sony switches off and reboots if i have the brightness setting to low i turned it back up to full brightness and it works fine now

There may be a "Power saving" feature on the TV. Check in set-up and adjust time for auto shut off.

SONY LCD SWITCHES OFF BY ITSELF

From my experience with sony tv it's normal.The set is going through update mode.Leave the set for about 10 minutes and it should be back to normal.

Our sony bravia is switching itself off and back on again while we are watching tv, very annoying. It like its rebooting every few minutes. What could be the problem?

probably the ba board for the same ahs gone bad
the same has happended to my sony v series bravia also and have to be replaced on our own csot as this si not covered under any warranyt

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

Test the power supply voltages after it shuts itself off, mainly the PSON voltage as that will determine if its a main board issue or power board

My Sony Bravia turns itself off Stand by red light blinks twice.

If you bought it brand new from a dealer, I would take it back or have them come out and look at it. Less than a month old, it is still under the 1 year MFG warranty or the very best a 30 day one.

Standby LED blinks 4 times

Hi there,

4 blinks on a Sony Bravia indicates a backlight/inverter (aka ballast) problem. These ballasts are regrettably only available with an entire LCD panel. :( You may perchance be able to find a parts outfitter online that scraps out TVs and have a used ballast.

Typical backlight problem on an LCD shows up as the screen lighting up for a second or two and going back off. The 4 blinks just confirms your problem.

Sony Bravia KDL 52 keeps turning itself OFF

i had prob where my sony would switch off for a few secs thenh come back on . The solution was in menu / tv settings / sleep timer . Go into that and make sure its set to off. there are opions for off , 5 min 20 min 30 min etc... mine was set to nothing just blank.
