How do I replace a Maytag wall oven's upper hinge?

There are two types and they both work to a theme. Modern Oven hinges are inset into the door itself, so you just split the door apart, take the old ones out and the new ones in. The other type have the hinges inside the oven itself between the outside of the oven cavity and the outer panel. With those you pull out or remove the wall oven and look at the back and underneath for the screws. Remove the side panels, remove and replace the hinges.

I have an Amana AGR5715QDS and when I turn it on and set it for any temperature, lets say 350 degrees, it does not turn on or heat up. The stove top burners still work fine and the door appears to be OK,...

Hi. This sounds like a weak igniter, the symptoms usually are: burner won't light, or takes longer than normal to ignite the burner, may or may not smell gas in the oven, does not maintain set temperature or burner does not come on fully. On gas ovens, a glo igniter is like a light bulb, the more you cook, the faster it wears out. Bottom line, needs to be replaced. Good luck.

I have a amana aocs3040ss oven and the door does not shut tightly

If it is a drop down door, then you will probably have to replace the oven door hinges, as the springs are most likely weak.
Hope this helps with your prob.

Hinge snapped on Nardi EK95583AC Range cooker

I have the same problem and am about to replace both hinges and hinge runners (http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk) recommend you should replace both hinges as if one is gone the other will follow soon. The section on the hinge gives a good account on how to replace the hinges safely and how to get to the runners that may need getting into the inside of the oven by removing the sides. I havent gone through this yet so cannot honestly give any more advice other than whats out on the web.

AMANA CONVECTION OVEN

Try this it worked for me:
Spray the hinge assy including the springs with WD40 work the door back and forth.
Look at the interface of the door gasket to the oven chamber mine was pulled away slightly away from the frame on the bottom I used a hammer and a piece of wood to pound it back tight against the oven frame.
I changed the light switch and that did it good luck
