My batteries ran down,( led lights on the back flashing indicating that they need recharging). When I recharge them, they only take approx 2 minutes and then indicate that they are fully charged. I did a similiar problem some 18 months ago when the drill was still under warranty. I got the batteries and charger back from the supplier, being told that they had to "reset" the batteries. Any ideas out there?
The "memory" effect really only effects nicad and nimh batteries. Lithium is not really affected by this. on early Metabo LI batteries if the batteries had to be reset you had to put the batteries back in the charger. The reset was in the charger. then that was soon changed to having the reset in the battery itself. you could do it by simply pressing the LED button on the back of the battery. It sound like you either have a bad cell in the battery or bad electronics in it.
Capacitor inside charger as gone get it replaced under warranty or at a metabo service centre
Not sure if you have the same problem as me but I held the red button on the battery plugged it in to the charger and then after about 10 seconds let go this sorted it out and now both my battery's are taking a charge
Some batteries develop 'memory'. Run the batteries down until they are completely dead, then recharge them fully. Do this a couple times to get them back to normal.
