I replaced the batteries of my Omron Karada Scale BF511 and it's been showing Err. When I step on it, the scale reads up to a 110kg (and I weigh 76kg) before reading Error. Please help.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Make sure the scale is on a flat, stable surface: Uneven or unstable surfaces can affect the accuracy of the readings. Place the scale on a hard, level floor and ensure it is not wobbling.
2. Check the battery installation: Double-check that the new batteries are inserted correctly, following the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. Ensure there is good contact between the batteries and the terminals.
3. Calibrate the scale: Some digital scales require calibration after battery replacement or when experiencing issues. Check the user manual for instructions on how to calibrate your specific model. Calibration usually involves placing a known weight on the scale and adjusting it accordingly.
4. Clean the scale: Dirt, dust, or debris on the scale's surface or sensors can interfere with accurate readings. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the scale, ensuring it is dry before use.
5. Try weighing yourself multiple times: Step on and off the scale a few times to see if the error persists. This can help determine if the issue is consistent or intermittent.

How do you use it? How do you calibrate, clean and use the scale?

To use a scale, first you'll need to make sure it is properly set up and calibrated. This typically involves placing the scale on a flat, stable surface and pressing a "tare" or "zero" button to reset the scale to 0. If the scale is battery-operated, you'll need to install the batteries according to the manufacturer's instructions.

To use the scale, simply place the object you want to weigh on the surface of the scale. The scale should display the weight of the object in the units you have selected (usually pounds or kilograms).

To clean the scale, you should use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe down the surface of the scale. Be sure to avoid getting any water inside the scale itself.

To calibrate the scale, you may need to adjust the scale's settings or follow a specific calibration process according to the manufacturer's instructions. This may involve using a known weight or adjusting the scale's "zero" point. Calibrating your scale can help ensure that it is providing accurate readings.

I push scale on , it shows the 8888888 then the 0.00 but then goes immediately to "over" not giving me a chance to put baby on the scale Can you help please ?

If your scale is showing "over" right after displaying the initial readings, it could mean that the weight of the object you are trying to weigh is exceeding the maximum weight limit of the scale.
To troubleshoot the issue, try the following steps:
  1. Check the maximum weight limit of the scale: Look for the weight limit in the manual or on the packaging of the scale. Make sure the weight of the object you are trying to weigh is within the range of the scale's maximum capacity.
  2. Make sure the scale is properly calibrated: Sometimes, an incorrectly calibrated scale can cause inaccurate readings or errors like "over". Refer to the manual to check if there are any calibration instructions, and follow them carefully.
  3. Check the batteries: Low battery voltage can cause errors or incorrect readings. Make sure the batteries are fresh and properly installed.
  4. Check the surface where the scale is placed: The surface where the scale is placed should be level and stable. An unstable surface can cause inaccurate readings.
If none of these steps resolves the issue, it may be a problem with the scale itself, and you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance or consider replacing the scale.

EF954 scale displays 'err' message and I'm under the max weight stipulated, various people have tried to weigh themselves but still

If you've replaced the batteries and recalibration doesn't work, I'm pretty sure that means the scale is broken. The error is for an object too heavy or too light to be weighed.

My etekcity scale is showing a C shape on the screen after weighing something - what does that mean?

A "C" will appear during the first weighing, this is a self-calibrating feature on some scales. It means the scale is re-calibrating to zero. Please re-weigh for accurate reading. Scale will also re-calibrate after every battery replacement.
