CONFUSION WITH INTEL CORE DUO AND INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE!

You are worrying about nothing.

Intel Pentium Dual Core and Intel Celeron Dual Core are both Intel Core Dual processors.

The performance rate is mesured compared to a single core processor so your 2.2GHz dual core will do the same amount of work as a 4.95GHz single core.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE INTEL CELERON 450 AND THE INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE

HI,

The celeron you are looking at is single core
The pentium you are looking at is dual core (this is the one you want)

They are both physically the same size, and have the same speed, but you will get ALOT better performance out of a Dual core. A Pentium Dual-Core is a real production chip, where the Celeron series is just the chips that weren't good enough to be Pentiums. Much cheaper in quality ENJOY! RATE THISOLTUION

What are differences between single core and dual core processor?

A dual-core processor is much faster than a single-core processor since it is two processors mounted on the same die. Each of the two processors are the exact same, one mounted on the top, and the other mounted on the bottom of the die. Since there are two processors, there is the ability to perform twice as many computations in any given amount of time, making it quite clear why dual-core proceesors are faster than single-core processors. With two processors sharing the workload, the upload and download times are much faster, and three dimensional manipulation becomes more accessible without over-clocking the CPU and freezing your computer. Dual-core processors will make the graphics of your high definition LCD monitor a lot clearer and crisper, and the flow of multi-person role playing games a lot more fluid.

Difference b/w Core to duo and daul core

Core 2 Duo is a Brand name by intel to identify his class of Dual core CPU

a Dual core CPU is basically two CPU in one package, which dramatically improves performance over previous architectures.

Pentium Dual Core is another brand name by Intel to identify his new entry level CPU offer.Basically Pentium dual-core are similar to Core 2 Duos except they(pentiums) are slower and cheaper.
they both are dual core CPUs.
I would prefer a core 2 Duo having to choose a laptop because of better performance, but the prize is different for the two solutions.

Cpu enquiry

There really is no difference, there are differences in the E numbers though. Those are specificallt about it's GHz's, it L1 and L2 cache.

Though Intel Core 2 Duo is the same as Intel Dual Core. It's just a different name. This confusion is caused because of Intel changing the names of it's processors series. The Pentium brandname for example is gone. Intel Pentium Dual Core is now called Intel Core 2 Duo.

I hope this answered your question.

Greetings,

DarkNeogen.
