Motor temperature rise too high or smoke fault:
1, the load is too heavy or too frequently started -- reduce the load, reduce the number of starts;
2, the lack of phase in the process of operation -- check the line, restore the three-phase;
3, stator winding wiring error -- check wiring, to correct;
4, stator winding is grounded, short circuit occurs between turns or phases -- find out the ground or short circuit parts, to repair;
5, the winding of the winding rotor phase - find out the fault point, to repair.
Motor vibration is too large fault:
1. Rotor imbalance -- leveling balance;
2. Unbalance of pulley or shaft bending -- check and correct;
3. The motor is not aligned with the load axis -- check and adjust the axis of the unit.

What motor are you talking about the fuser motor, paper draw motor, the finisher motor, the transfer motor, the drum motor, the developer motor, corona wire transfer cleaning motor. I can go on.

Replacing developer and toner has nothing to do with the motor running,

SOURCE: toner light flashing, won't copy

Definately check and see if you are getting the motor current from the motor driver board and main pcb, before buying it. That should do the trick

Konica 215 Toner moter is not running in toner supply mode. It also not running in normal coping. We change moter,dc board.

Did you replace the drum and developer units run the TCR adjustment since the TCR sensor determines if toner is needed if not needed no signal to main board to turn on the toner motor. You might have just need a new drum and developer unit not a motor and power supply. It would have been more likely it was the main board and not a DC power supply.

The blinking CH means that the Developing cartridge not installed.
Here is how to correct the issue:
1)Turn OFF the power of the machine.
2)Open the front cover.
3)Install the developer unit and toner cartridge.
4)Turn ON the power of the machine with the cover opened.
5)Enter Sim25-02. (Entered value display section: "CH" is displayed. Start LED: OFF)
6)Close the front cover. (Entered value display section: "--" is displayed. Start LED: ON)
7)Press [START] key to execute Sim25-02.When [START] key is pressed, the main motor rotates for 3 minutes to determine the toner sensor reference value and clear the developer rotation time as well as to clear the developer counter.When the operation is completed normally, the ATC sensor reference value is displayed on the entered value display section. If an error occurs, one of the following indicators is lighted. LED Misfeed indicator Paper required indicator This simulation must be executed only immediately after installing developer, Do not execute this simulation for any developer which has been used. If the machine goes into the warm-up state before completion of this simulation, there is a possibility that toner may be supplied to the developer during warm-up. In such a case, therefore, the developer must be replaced with new one.

I have a problem with code E020 (canon 1120)

E020 - The toner is not adding correctly into the developing assembly.
1) If toner hopper is overfull, the toner motor worm gear splits as a result of the hopper becoming packed tight. 2) If the hopper is 1/2 full or less, the worm gear splits under normal use.

1) Advise customer to add toner only when the toner light is lit, right away, and replace toner motor, or 2) Just replace toner motor (FH7-1762-030).

After verifying that the toner hopper is working properly, check that the web solenoid is activating. Clean the web solenoid and ensure free action. This has been known to clear an E020.

After verifying that all is well with the toner hopper unit, consider the DC controller. It has been noted that some DC controllers do not provide sufficient current to drive the hopper motor. Replace the DC controller COL97.08.25 M0000244.txt.

Add toner ricoh aficio 2045

Toner supply is controlled with readings from TD sensor on the developing unit and the I.D sensor above the drum by default.

These are low cost parts and easy to change.
(The TD sensor on this model have been known to fluctuate back and forth by a fair margin so is a good place to start).

You could also try stripping down and cleaning out the toner hopper.
Check the four mylars are present and the grabber is opening wide enough to grab the toner bottle nozzle successfully.

Check the toner hopper exit slider is opening fully when the PCU is inserted.

I had one of these 'add toner' faults today and it was the toner hopper all clogged up inside.
The side bit where the toner drops down had hardened clumps of toner stuck around the side entrance mylar and the exit hole.

Check also the toner motor. I have seen these fail. Run simulation output check for toner motor. I would remove the toner supply unit and hold the motor when you run this simulation. Sometimes the motor turns but does not have enough torgue to turn the toner supply unit.

Phaser 6350 flooded with magenta toner

Problem developers start leaking toner. The problem is that some times the toner spuills into developers below it and damaging them. The problem may appear as a grinding noise that may indicate a developer gear/motor problem, when in fact its a bad developer that is not running smoothly. It may be expensive, and you may have to replace ALL the Developers.

Cyan Toner always prints faded.

It is the developer. All colours should be changed at the same time. This can be accessed via the right hand side of the machine, when you remove the cover. (where the output tray is)
