Hi friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that water is leaking from the bottom of your Frigidaire washer. There are many components that could cause a washer to leak the bellow (gasket), leak from drain hose, drain pump, or water valve. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend having a technician come out to diagnose and repair your appliance. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

Have you looked behind the bellow under the folds to make sure there's no rips or tears? The bellow could appear okay on the outside, but still could have a tear somewhere out of plain view. I had this happen to me before.

The inner seal from the bellow to the tub could also be loose now. If you said a garment got stuck and the washer continued through the cycle, this could have loosen the seal where it attaches to the wash tub. You would need to tighten the band clamp around the facing of the tub if this is the case.

A good way in determining where the leak may be coming from is to remove the lower panel under the door. Start a wash cycle and watch to see where the water is coming out.

Now...if the tub seal is loose it may require some disassembly to get to. If you're going to go the route of disassembling the washer front, and have never replaced the bellow before, it probably wouldn't hurt to replace it anyway. My rationale: It's better to disassemble the washer once, rather than possibly having to do it all over again in the near future.

You can get a replacement bellow at searspartsdirect.com. Just type in your model number and look under the "Door and Latch Parts" section for item number 1 (part #8540952). It only costs about $32.

If you need instructions on how to replace the bellow, just go to my profile and look under my "Tips and Tricks". There is a write I posted there giving step-by-step instructions. If you cannot find it, or have any further questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps answer some of your questions.

Possibly rinsing with cold water, washing with hot.
Check inlet valves for leaks, especially cold (rinse)
Lift the top panel by inserting a flat blade approx 4" from each side at the front to release clips, then top will hinge backwards.
You can see the valves at the rear behind the drum..
You can run the machine with top lifted to see any more leaks.
Also remove front panel via 2 small screws to gain better view.

Removing the lower front panel (3 screws nearest floor), and opening the round, white water pump filter cap (be ready to catch about 2 gallons of water!) is the best place to start. All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and a large, flat pan (deep turkey tray works well)!

YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE what I found in my filter housing this morning (see photo below)!

The washer is working fine now, although I may go back and remove the entire water pump so it can be dismantled, thoroughly cleaned, and reinstalled.

My Fisher and Paykel washer is leaking water from bottom back right side in the rinse cycle. Any thoughts?

Question edited to correct name of maker, (Fisher PayPal :>)
Question moved to one of their categories.

No clue to whether a top loader or a front loader, which is why we ask for full 'make model (what it is)'.

If it is only in the rinse cycle, and if it is a front loader it is likely to be spray of a crack in the box that is the detergent drawer and fabric softener mixer. The only way to find out is to remove the top after a wash and look for where the water came from.

Leak. My wife noticed water leaking out bottom of washer

Try cleaning the drain plug. I did this in about 5 minutes and was amazed at how much debris was clogging up the drain. Mine was accessible by removing two screws at the bottom of washer and removing panel. Drain plug was right there and easy to unscrew. Be sure to have a cookie sheet or other pan to catch the water that will flow out. Once that drain is clear, thumping should stop because water can flow down the drain easily.

Washer leaks from bottom during rinse cycle

Take the cover off the back, and look up, next to where you put the soap in, when it's filling/rinsing. There is (like) a (white) plastic valve body, and look to see if water is dripping out of it. I haven't figured out a solution to that yet, other than to replace it.

Also check the boot, coming off the pump. You could have a bad/dry boot, or a loose hose clamp.
