The machine has a dirty ID sensor that must be cleaned. It can be cleaned without removing anything from the machine if you are very careful. Open the clamshell to access the drum area. The sensor is located in the middle of the guide plate on the front side of the drum. If you can get a soft cloth between that guide and the drum, wipe that section very carefully.
This is for a W2400/3600 which should I assume is the same spec for other Ricoh wide format machines. When you are facing the printer from the front, it's on the right side panel. The waste toner bottle should be about 28" from the ground. Remove all right side panels. There is a sensor that you will need to temporarily remove and reinstall back on to the waste toner bottle once it's emptied. Replace all right side panels. You are good to go. No need to call service tech to waste time. Should be a 30 minute change.
