Were the doors left open at anytime? If so it has a thermostat that will shut off the lights to keep from getting too hot, If they werent left open, could be bad bulb or stuck or bad light switch on the door, all very easy fixes.

LG had a circuit board malfunction with many french door models with fridge lights staying on with the door closed. the bulb lens usually overheats; deforms; and falls off. the plastic frame surround is warped too. the bulb sockets are darkened too. if this is the case, call LG and they will usually repair this overheating issue for free. you can just unscrew the bulbs for the meantime.

I'd look into the original owners manual that shows how to align the French doors when first purchased. Sounds like heavy usage, or it was improperly put on when you first got it. Try that first, re-align, and tighten the bolts. Last resort is replacing the latches, call the LG customer service center at 1 800 243-0000 for details.

Turn the unit off so the bulb can cool and just take it out. Sounds like there is a problem with the switch, as to the melted surround if it is part of the liner there aint nothing you can do, save patch it with fiberglass and resin.

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.


Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

The control board relay switch for the light bulb stuck in the on position and needs to be replaced along with the light cover and housing.  There is also a replacement light harness that has a high limit switch to shut off the lights if this happens again.  LG knows about this problem and if you call LG customer service, they will grant a one time warranty extension to take care of this problem.

call service center for the repair of your refrigerator, they will bring it to their repair shop,because they need to dismantalled the unit to replaced the heater`s thermestor. the thermestor was been busted that cause the heater not work out,then in conteneous operation of compressor will cause of ice build up.
