SOURCE: grinding noise when washer starts

hi there,

the grinding noise may be coming from either the pump or you have something caught between the drums.

the f-33 error is the pump drive system error. it indicates that you have lost communication between the CCU board and the pump. the CCU board is the main control board that you see in the front of your washer.

i would recommend that you call a technician to check it out, as you will have to do some checks that require technical knowledge.

SOURCE: washer making loud noise and wont spin

Check and see if the inner drum is loose and floppy.if it is, it's likely the bearings have collapsed, and require replacement...If the drum feels stiff and tight, it could be that something is jammed between the inner and outer drums. Both situations could be costly...Get quotes....Good luck...Nomess

Washer wont spin or agitate and when set to drain and spin immediately starts making a noise and doing nothing with lid closed or open. what could it be?

Sounds like a load out of balance. Try shifting the clothes then press the spin cycle. Sometimes unplugging the washer for a minute or two resets the timer. Are you over-loading with heavy items?

Lg ldf7932ss growling noise at wash cycle

The LG is known for the main motor bearings (2 small cheap) bearings that are of poor quality and become noisy (growls) after a period of time. I pulled the motor and replaced the Korean bearings with quality German equivalents. This is cheap and solves the problem. (the front bearing closest to the plastic pump is the culprit.

Need help unlocking the door of a dead machine

Try unplugging the washer for at least 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). This is the main computer for the unit and you may be experiencing a momentary program glitch. Resetting the CCU will cure most program glitches and restore the unit to normal operation. This may also save you the expense of having to replace the CCU. If the door remains locked, there is a manual release you can use to retrieve any items left inside. The following link explains:

Slow to spin and making a loud noise.

Control boards don't growl, the fry out and die. Sounds like a drive train problem to me. If it's a front load machine, the spindle/bearing assy. has gone to washer heaven. If it's a top load machine... could be the transmission, brake/clutch assy. or the tub bearings. In either case, if it's less than 5 years old, the drive system will be warrantied through the manufacturer. If you could provide a make and model number, I could narrow this down to a fine point.
