I had a 1971 f900 truck , which is a gas engine vehicle, that we used in the harvesting of silage and grain. It had a 534 cid engine and had a mechanical fuel pump which does not require a fuel pump relay. That said, someone could have added an electric pump which could use a relay. Follow the fuel line from the carburetor to the tank. A mechanical pump will be connected to the engine. An electric pump would be inline or in the fuel tank.
Im not 100 % sure if that combo will work but if you have any contacts with any classic car clubs and they have southern car models that had that option in 71 should steer you in the right direction
If I were you, what I would do is cut the line, try to get it out of the 1" nut that is in the carb in a vise. Then replace the line from the fuel pump up, if I remember it's 5/16" and maybe 3-4 ft long. Being a L6 motor fuel pump is easy to get too. If you can't get line out of 1" nut they do sell the at auto parts stores in the help racks.
