Ac doesn't throw cold air

Hi,

i ahve an LG a/c. it's working fine. but at times when the voltage is down it seems that compressor is not turning on. it runs in fan mode.

is that a logic that under low voltage with out enough supply the compressor would not turn on?

Lg air condition doesn't work when it is cold outside

Sounds like the crankcase heater. This is likely hooked to a temp sensor that is activated when it gets below a certain temp. There is likely a short in the heater and it trips the breaker. The heater keeps the refrigerant warm inside the compressor when compressor not running. Find a different technician.

Hello, My A/C unit will turn on, but it doesn't sound like the compressor is engaging. All 3 fan speeds work, but it pushes ambient air, not cold air. I'm happy to look at this myself, or bring...

Hi Brian, if the compressor is not working, this is your cooling problem. You will need a volt meter to check and see if you have full voltage to it. If the compressor is grounded out, or has open windings, it will need to be replaced. If you can, take it in and have it checked. It may just be the run capacitor. This would be the way to go.

Hello

Sounds like the compressor is shuting down on high heat. There could be a couple reasons for this.
1 Check that proper voltage is being supplied to compressor.
2 Freon level may be low. This would be a service call.
3 Bad or intermitent connection at thermostat.
4 Main contacts to compressor sticking, usually burnt or pitted.

Sounds like your blower motor when out, check voltage at the blower motor connector under the dash passenger side under dash, with key and blower on, if you have voltage blower motor out, also tap on it some time it will turn it on, but if it happens again you will have to replace it.

Driver air cool, passenger air warm or hot

Are you sure you checked the temp door ?Is it hot air ,like the heater?First check the ac compressor to see if it is actually turning, then check the large ac lines near the firewall near the windshield to see if they are cold, and sweating. If they are that rules out freon problem. The temp door might not be moving, check all selections on ac control and watch is door and see if one of them doesn`t move.If one door doesn`t move then it is the one you need to fix,if I can help, let me [email protected]

LG AC compressor problem

Compressor may be locking up. Run capacitor may be weak or loose wire. Sounds like major voltage drop off as unit head pressure increases.

Please help me with my air conditioning for my 1995 jetta

HI, giving the compressor 12v directly is not the way to go as you are bypassing the entire fail safe cercuit. it seem to me that your ac gas is low(can be checked via ac pressure gauges) wich means you have a system leak sumwhere. as soon as your hi/low pressure switch(depending on system) detect inferior pressure to the spesified pressure ,the ac compressor voltage is cut in order to protect the pump from seizure.

Or perhaps your evaporator(small radiator like unit behind dash) can get freezed up caused by either too mutch system gas(check pressure) or poor opperation of the expantion valve. the evaporator then has a sensor(themometer) wich measures evap. temp and if the value drops below spec (usially round about7degrees) the ac compressor will be cut once again(fail safe)

Maybe your ac compressor overheats due to inferior system oil/oil capasity, also note that only some systems incorperate the function of measuring ac pump temp. then again temp to high= fail safe=no12v to ac pump.

Good luck.

I need help!!! 94 accord

well my 94 just blew a belt and they all seem to run on the same main pully. As i just learned these belts need replacing, especially the timing belt. its only good for 70000 miles. If its beyond that and the timing belt gets strecthed even a 1/4 inch it can throw off the timing and much more and make your car turn pretty gutless. If the timing belt brakes, there is a good chance it can permanetly damage the engine valves. If the timing belt is weak, it may affect idle when the ac needs to be turned as well?
