My motor compressor thrifts every 5 mins.

If you have a low pressure switch on your air conditioner it's opening and closing, because you don't have enough refrigerant in the system or it's cycling on the thermal overload in the compressor because it's getting hot.
You need to charge your system to approximately 12° to 15° superheat not by pressure.

Air conditioner not working properly

You can pull the inside of the unit out of the case to inspect the back coils mainly to see if there is any blockage. Note the screws on the bottom of the housing the holds the coils take the screws out and very gently take the coil and move out a little. It will flex enough to clean the coils. Just don't hit it with very high pressure water cause it will bend the fins that go around the coils. I have done a bunch of window units this way and you would not believe the difference it makes. Let unit dry out and re-assemble. Let me know if you need anything else.. ken

Air not cold

If you are always using it, yes it could be. The heat it produce helps in its normal wear and tear. Corrosion is one and dirt helps. Freon could stay in the system as long as it is not getting any break or hole.

If freon is out of the case. Unit not getting cold, the fault could be dirty air filtter, dirty exchanger, dirt in the system itself, or clog. And also you cannot negate it thermostat, could be its setting or actually faulty. And compressor fault.

Air Unit turns on...compressor works, fan turns on and then shuts off?

Let me guess you drove it home on its side in your back seat and then plugged it in? Or like many stores with a surplus of product and limited space, there are some units that are stored on their sides by idiot employees, or ones that don't care they just want to get the freight put away. All of which will more than likely result in a dead air conditioner, refrigerator, or dehumidifier if the unit is not upright overnight before use. The refrigerant is also acts as the lube for internal parts and when stored improperly will all be located in the coils, and not in the compressor where it needs to be. You plug it in and the unit will overheat and die. Either that killed it or it was DOA, go back and exchange it. Why bother troubleshooting something you can exchange? If you did drive it home on its side don't tell them that, unless you are that guy who didn't put 50:1 in his lawn mower. Hack

My LG air conditioner is saying water fl what is that and where can I find it? I cannot find the book.

The FL error usually means that there is excess water in the drain pan. Look for the drain plug cap at the bottom of the back of the air conditioner. Remove the cap and tilt the air conditioner so that any water in the drain pan will run out. If the room is extremely humid and the air conditioner is set to Cool, this is normal. To reduce the water level issue, set the fan speed to Low. If the air conditioner is in the Dry (dehumidifying) mode, try setting it to Cool. Alternatively, consider using a hose if your unit allows for a continuous drain. Unplug the air conditioner for at least 10 seconds to reset the unit if the error persists. If the drain pan is dry or the error recurs before more water fills the drain pan after the reset, then the air conditioner needs service. Please add a comment with the model number of the unit if you need help finding the drain pan cap. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

CH21 error on LG - 800 Sq. Ft. 14,000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner (model LW1522IVSM).

The error is that the DC voltage is too high, not the house AC voltage. It should regulate through a transformer. Get LG to send an engineer under warranty. If you have a multimeter, you can test your house voltage. DC peak error / IPM fault; compressor DC voltage was too high.

I have a LG air conditioner which seems stuck on defrost. It works fine in cooling but when on heat the defrost light comes.

Possibly a stuck or closed defrost sensor. The sensor gets to freezing which closes the switch. So the unit goes into defrost cycle which switches the flow of the freon on a Heatpump. The hot gas thaws the coil and the sensor. Which opens the switch and switches it back. I'm giving this answer without knowing more about the unit. Defrost light comes on & it doesn't run at all? LG system is a split unit or window unit or what? If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/thomas_868a5ee3bf9eea64
