Do not know what brand or model your aircon unit is? Sounds as if the temperature you want your unit to run at has already been reached. You need to follow these steps:
- select the temperature you want
- select the icicle icon for cool or thermometer icon for hot.
- select "auto" for your unit to cut in, or to cut off to keep your desired room temp.
For example - hot day 26 degrees and you want the temp in the room to drop to 19 degrees - the unit will shut off once it reaches 19 degrees if it is set to "Auto". Hope this gives you some clues to get it working. Please tick my this helped me box if my tips work. Good luck Gerri.
the circuit the unit is on causing the fuse in the fuse box to either getting to hot, than over heats the a/c unit, it has a sensor in there when it get hot to shut off so the unit will not burn up. if the circuit breaker not enough to carry the load of the unit, is the only thing on this circuit, is the a/c unit by it self on the circuit, if not, it need its own circuit or you will continue to have these issues, you mite even damage the unit itself.
when dryer motors start going bad, this is one sign that it is time to re-place motor. They come on and then cut off. Also, please check your ventilation system ( hole in wall to wherever it goes outside) to make sure that it is NOT clogged up with lint or a birds nest. The hot air and lint that the dryer creates, cannot be restricted from exiting the dryer for it may also cause the motor to get too hot and cut off. Motor has a safety cut off fuse to shut unit down when it is getting too hot. MAKE SURE that dryer is properly installed away from wall with proper vent hose.
Check that the wire to the temp sender unit is not shorting out before the sensor As water temp rise so the resistance in the sender unit decreases and the current increases so a short would indicate hot water. REmove the wire and see it any thing happens and if it stays cool then, Replace the sender unit
Hi, When it cuts off, there is still power to the fan motor then replace the motor...you can check for power going to the fan right in the electrical box of the condenser... My idea of this would be that the motor gets hot and then cuts out, or the bearing seize up when hot...
according to your problem, the power was cut to the house; then power was restored and everything went back on that was on except the hot water heater. when you tried to reset the water heater breaker, it wouldn't reset. the hot water heater also won't reset. the problem is not w/the breaker, the problem is w/the hot water heater. you need to buy a new reset for the hot water heater which means a new control unit, since the reset is hooked to the contol unit. this is answered by an electrician w/35 yrs experience. the breaker controls the hot water heater. since the breaker won't reset, the problem lies in the control unit for the hot water unit.
the unit is blowing cold air then tripping out, is it blowing hot air out the back? im sure you mean exhaust air as in hot air so the reason your unit is tripping out is that its overheating and the pressures in the rerigeration system are to high, so the safety trip cuts the unit off.
sounds like the thermo is not controling the tempt . the heat should bi inside . although the outer may get very hot it should not be as hot as you stated . now if some washed it. and gave it a good dunking then the insul may me wet and the bottom get's to hot. this will require serviceing . ****
The overheat thermostat is tripping and cutting power to the dryer (like it supposed to). The thermostat unit may be defective or the dryer is getting way too hot.
