SOURCE: Sony SXRD Projection TV

This is a fan issue, most likely the large fan in the rear, lower left (from the back)...

Here's the fix, I promise, it's EASY........

Ok, I think I have the answer for the BIG FAN failure. I recently did a similar fix on the spindle of an xbox 360 and it is identical. Ok, this is an EXTREMELY EASY FIX...

Open the back of the tv, locate the large fan (on the lower left on the back of the set.) unscrew the screen and remove the fan.

Once the fan is removed, you will see the side with the model number and the other side is totally open.

On the open side, pull...

The fan will come off, into your hand, it is only held by magnets...

You will notice a spindle on the fan and the other side has the magnets and the hole where the spindle came from (this is the fan motor).

Clean both the spindle and the hole (motor) with a q-tip. The hole is smaller than the q-tip, but do the best you can to remove the old lubricant.

Get a bit of WD40 and lubricate the spindle and spray a touch in the hole.

Put them together, reconnect your fan, test it on startup and thank me...lol...

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!! IT WORKS, TRUST ME...

T.V shuts off and power light blinks.

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.
http://homenol.blogspot.com/
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, [Exclude the model number] in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

I had a problem getting the code,to work with tvsignature2000,can you e-mail me the code for this,

Actually there is no code specified in URC-3021 manual to work with Signature.
But still we can try

If your device does not respond to the remote control after trying all codes
listed for your brand, or if your brand is not listed at all, try searching for
your code.
NOTE: Before performing a code search for a DVD player or a VCR, turn on the device and
insert the required media.
For example, to search for a code for your TV:
1. On the remote control, press TV once.
2. Press and hold SET until the LED (red light) blinks twice,
then release SET.
3. Enter 9 - 9 - 1.The LED will blink twice.
4. Aim the remote control at the TV and slowly alternate
between pressing POWER and TV. Stop when the TV turns off
(after pressing POWER). If the device does not have a Power
key, you can substitute another function, such as digits 0 ~ 9 ,
CH up, or PLAY).
NOTE: In the search mode, the remote control will send IR codes from
its library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code
first.
5. To lock in the code, press and release SET.The LED will
blink twice.
6. To search for the codes of your other devices, repeat steps
1 through 5, but substitute the appropriate device key for
the device you are searching for.

If you have set up the remote control using the Searching For Your Code procedure
as above, you may need to find out which four-digit code is operating
your equipment. For example, to find out which code is operating your
TV:
1. On the remote control, press TV once.
2. Press and hold SET until the LED (red light) blinks twice,
then release SET.
3. Enter 9 - 9 - 0.The LED will blink twice.
4. To view the code for the first digit, press 1 once.Wait 3
seconds, count the LED blinks (e.g., three blinks = 3) and
write down the number in the leftmost box in the TV
code boxes on page 8.
NOTE: If a code digit is "0", the LED will not blink.
5. Repeat step 4 (on the previous page) three more times for
remaining digits.Use 2 for the second digit, 3 for the third
digit, and 4 for the fourth digit.Write down the code digits
in the remaining TV code boxes on page 8.
6. To check for codes of other devices, repeat steps 1
through 5

Press the device button for the item you wish to program E.G. tv, dvd, vcr ect. and the led will blink once and then remain solid red. 4. press on/off button on remote slowly and repeatedly until the device you are trying to program shuts off.
