Problem: The incline goes up on its own (e.g., you can run the treadmill and, while using it, the incline just goes up on its own...and I'm not in 'random mode').
What I've done (per the Precor 9.23 service manual):
- initiated the "initialization program"
- "calibrated the lift motor"
- I checked ohm reading on the potentiometer per the Precor manual. From the board (JK3), the readings are fine (red-to-black = 10, red-to-white plus white-to-black = 10. When I read them from potentiometer itself (the other end of JK3, on the incline motor), the readings are off.
- I have not seen any error codes

If you have checked the safety switch on your Precor 9.45 treadmill and everything seems to be intact, and the "reset safety switch" message still won't go away, it's possible that the switch itself is faulty or the console is not receiving the signal from the switch.
You can try cleaning the switch and the area around it, and also check the wires that connect the switch to the console to make sure they are not damaged. If the switch or wires appear to be damaged, they may need to be replaced.
If cleaning and checking the switch and wires doesn't resolve the issue, it's recommended that you contact the manufacturer or a qualified repair technician to further diagnose and fix the problem. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or suggest other possible solutions.
Precor uses a pair of Triacs to drive the lift up and down. These triacs live on the lower board but are driven by the upper console commands via a serial link between the upper and lower. Most precor lift issues we see are related to the lower board but with Precor it could be an upper board or the CPU Chip that resides on the lower board or a failed Triac. Good Luck
RUN the software calibration for easy diagnostic, and fix it. Go to THE HOOD cover for the motor and follow the steps or use the owner manual. God bless you
Please RUN the software calibration for easy diagnose and troubleshooting. However Lube the elevation motor+shaft+gear+pinion+adjust the small POTENtiometer a little. see the diagram attached and proceedGod bless you
How long have you let it run for after turning it back on ? Some treadmills have a re calibration test built in and will incline to the max and work its way down. During this time you should simply walk away and not touch anything as it trys to calibrate its self. If not i will need more information on it
hi, Your treadmills motor controlling circuit have some problem. thats why you cant adjust its speed. its running at its high speed because its motor controlling IGBT become shorted. As these potion of your treadmill is a high voltage point, i will recommend you to consult the manufacturer for support. ok
