Gourds 1 hp model c48a95a06 has very loud sound when running

Jet pumps are inherently noisy, has it always been this loud? Loud is a subjective measurement and varies from person to person.

Gould water pump

I service all sorts of Goulds water pumps for a living but will need some more info to troubleshoot your problem. For starters would need to know what voltage feeds it, single or three phase, horsepower, type of controller (pressure switch, Variable Frequency Drive, Three phase across the line start etc.), what you are doing with it, pump model number, motor frame number, etc. etc.

Goulds model C48A95A06 power to pressure switch no power on other side

When you have a pressure switch ... its purpose is to read pressure and to allow the power to pass only when the requisite pressure has been reached.

If you have power on one side and not the other ... the switch is "open". Either there is no pressure or the switch is faulty. You could pput a gage in the place of the switch to rule out lack of pressure. Dont 'jump' the switch to make it work. If it is faulty, replace it. It is there for system protection.
