Envelope jam HP Officejet 8500

Hi,

Try to print envelope through Microsoft Word

Steps:-

1) Click Tools , click Letters and Mailings and then click Envelopes and Labels .
2) Type the Delivery and Return address information.
3) Click Options .
4) On the Envelope Options tab, set the following options:-
  • Envelope size : set to match the loaded envelopes.
  • US only : if desired, select the Delivery point barcode to make it easier for mail sorting machinery to correctly route the envelope.
  • Return address : for Size 10 envelopes only, set the Return Address position .8 inch in the From left section.
5) Select the Printing Options tab and verify that the following settings are selected:
  • Select the Feed Method option that shows the envelope on the far right side with the short edge first.
  • Select Face down .
  • Examine the selected feed method image and verify that the envelope flap is on the left side of the envelope. If it is on the right, select or deselect Clockwise rotation.
6) Click OK and then click Print .

As envelop can not feed correctly every time, it depends on the weight, flap design, paper type and other factors & cause jam, To prevent those you can do.
  • Print envelopes at a higher quality setting so envelope is pulled through the unit more slowly. e.g:- Switch fast to slow mode or slow to best mode.
  • Tuck the flap inside the envelope before loading it into the printer.

I have a officejet pro 8500. I have a problem printing envelopes

Check two areas
1.. It could be the software your using to print the envelops.

2...It could be the printer driver.
Go on HP's site, and check and see if there has been any updated printer driver, or patch file. Hope this helps.

I am trying to print envelopes using HP Officejet Pro 8000. I don't see an envelope guide and the envelopes are skewing when feeding. Is there an easy solution here?

If the tray is similar to a Officejet PRO 8000 that I have,REMOVE the stack of paper, bring the adjustable guide walls towards the center, and you should be able to print envelopes.

My HP officejet L7680 prints #10 envelopes differently from the intended design. It moves the logo and return address lines to an unwanted location on the envelope face. How can I fix this?

Please consult this HP support article for printing envelopes with your machine. Make sure you have allowed a sufficient margin from the edge of the envelope or the printer will be unable to print your setup. If you're using a MAC os, see here.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

How to print an envelope on the officejet pro

You have to remove the stack of paper, and then bring the "guide walls" to the center. Just found out. I haven't tested it but it should work.

How do I place the envelope in the printer to print enveloes for hp officejet pro?

Step one: Load the envelopes NOTE: The exact steps for loading envelopes in the product might vary by product model. Please see the User Guide or the product manual for specific information about your product.
  1. Remove any paper from the input and output trays.
  2. Extend the paper tray, and then slide the paper-width guides to their outermost positions.
  3. Place several envelopes in the tray, and then slide the paper-width guides toward the stack of envelopes. Make sure that the paper-width guides touch the edges of the stack of envelopes without bending them.
  4. Slide the paper tray into the product.
