How do I download songs onto my phillips gogear cam

  • Charge your Philips GoGear ViBE for at least three hours before turning it on.
  • 2 Insert the small end of your mini USB cable into your GoGear ViBE. Insert the other end of this cable into one of your computer's USB ports. Turn your GoGear ViBE on by pressing and holding the "Power" button for two seconds.
  • 3 Insert the Philips GoGear ViBE software disc into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Follow the onscreen prompts to install it.
  • 4 Open "Computer" from the "Start" menu and locate the GoViBE icon to make sure it has been successfully connected to your computer.
  • 5 Navigate to your music files. If you're unsure about their location, start by looking in the "Music" folder under the "Start" menu.
  • 6 Drag and drop your music files from their folder onto the GoViBE icon in your "Computer" window.
  • 7 Right-click the USB icon with the green arrow, located in your taskbar, to disconnect your device. Click "Safely Remove hardware," then wait until your computer confirms that it's safe to remove the device. Disconnect the USB cable from both your computer and your GoGear ViBE.
  • 8 Select the musical note icon from the main menu of your GoGear ViBE to open your music files. Navigate to the sub-folders section, and select a song from either the artist, album, track list or genre. Press the "Play/Pause" button to begin playing a song

I don't have the installation cd's for my philips gogear hdd1830

You must use Windows Media Player 10 to transfer and delete music - the newest version, Windows Media Player 11, will not work with the Philips HDD Series of GoGear.

You can get all necessary software by going to:
www.usasupport.philips.com
Enter in your exact model #
Click on the link for your exact model #
Click on the Software & Drivers section

Problem in files downloading onto GoGear SA5125

Subscribe to an online music service that is compatible with your GoGear, such as Rhapsody's Mp3-Only service - I repeat MP3 ONLY - no other Rhapsody service will work.

Use Windows Media Player to transfer songs to your GoGear, or Rip CD's into Mp3 format - I repeat MP3 FORMAT - using Windows Media Player.

Videos must be transferred using the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter that came on the installation CD. You can also get this program from Philips website.

You will only be able to transfer photos to your GoGear if you have used the installation CD that came with the player. It contains a critical file that Philips has never posted to their website called the Philips Device Plug-In.

I have a Philips GoGear SA 3020 and it only supports wmv extensions. How do I convert an avi extension to wmv to get it to work? how do i download music onto the philips gogear SA3020?

The videos have to be run through the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter that came with the installation CD - if you have lost it, you can get it from www.usasupport.philips.com

You have to drag and drop music files directly from the folder they are stored in to the music folder of the GoGear - using Windows Explorer is easiest. Be careful which WMA's you transfer - older GoGears (and a few of the newer ones) supported copyright-protected WMA's - the SA3020 does not support them.
