Could you send me a service manual for an a901 please? Just inherited one from my nan, and serviced it but stupidly cant remember which order the lower bearings go on the motor :/

Found a kit on ebay for 9.99 which fixes the speed cntrol problem on 901 chefs do a search for kenwood motor repair comes with instructions you would need to be ok with a soldering iron

the difference between A701A and A901 is :

high speed outlet
slow speed outlet

planetary hub is similar . A701A, A901 and KM series

A701 Different planetary hub and fit different tools.

is not same A720 and A920 A7 = A701/A
A9 = A901 and KM

Contact a locale store that selling kenwwod and ask for a splashguard, the spare part number is KW604349 it´s a 'D' shape

It is possible that the drive belt has broken. It is located under the housing on top of the mixer but you need to remove 2 screws under the housing then remove the 3 retaining screws on the drive mechanism. The top of the housing will then lift off and reveal the drive belt. Caution this is not a DIY job for non mechanically minded persons and as always make sure the equipment is disconnected from the power supply. If in doubt seek qualified assistance.
