SWICH ON CHARGER PRESS START BUTTON NOTHING HAPPENS NOT CLEANING OR CHARGING
SOURCE: Clean Cycle Never Ends
i have the same issue but the charge/clean light on the razor itself wont come on or charge at all. Braun said to send it in for repair/exchange and to find out whats wrong with it.
SOURCE: cleaning base
I have been shaving with electric razors for 48 years, and the Braun 8595 is by far the best one yet.
I have had the problem of the refusal of the cleaning station to recognize the level of fluid in the cartridge, three times over the last couple of years. It seems to relate to a build up of shavings in the unit. To get it working again I inverted the unit, and carefully flushed water via a small tube, back through the 1cm diameter hole in the underside of the open base. Of course, the unit must then be thoroughly dried before use, or the sparks may fly. Does anyone know how to dismantle the unit for a safer and more thorough clean?
SOURCE: My razor works fine but
All you have to do is take the base apart. Turn it upsidedown, and there are two plastic clips on the rear portion of the base. Pressthem in with a key or screwdriver and wiggle the base a bit to remove the innerportion from the outer shell. Make sure you unplug the unit and remove thecleaning cartridge before doing this. Once it is apart, place a small wedgeunderneath the portion of the electric contact that sticks out to touch theshaver, and press the back of that portion out so that it slightly bends thecontact strip and makes it stick out a little further. Then remove the wedgeand put the base back together. It will work again, as the contacts can nowprotrude to touch the shaver and run the cleaning cycle. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.
