What got deleted is called the drivers, which are programs that works with your operating system like XP or Vista to the it know your DVD player is there...you should of gotten a disk with drivers on it but if not the only other way is to go to the DVD manuafacturers website, find your model, and then download the appropriate driver program. That will get it back..good luck.

What DVD player do you have? It might not support all types of DVDs. Are you trying to use a DVD-R or DVD+R or rewritable?

Dvd ram only recognizes cd's not dvd's keeps telling me to insert disc

Go to your computer and open the window. Find your DVD drive, right click and choose properties. Look for the Recording tab and unclick "enable CD recording on this drive". If that does not work, go to either windows update and look for hardware updates or to your laptop manufacturer website and look under the support heading for downloads and drivers for your model. Then look for a DVD updated driver or firmware update.

If you found this information helpful, please remember to leave positive feedback, if not let me know how I can assist you further.

Thank You,

Brian

Confused

For the Sansa m250 you do not need a cd. Just download the manual, stick a triple A battery in, plug it into your computer and upload your music. Then read the manual to see the various functions for each button. Enjoy
